Do you read posts before commenting? Clearly you don’t because if you did you’d know that I asked him ONCE about his contract, and any and all subsequent discussions have been brought up by HIM, ie. NOT me. Understand now? Or need I say it another bazillion times.

Posters like you and @Ethan Tremblay (who said if he was a player and a fan was hassling him he’d say anything to shut them up) are not only rude but also clueless. Do you really think I’d be made to feel so welcome by everyone at the club if I was hassling anyone? Think about it. No, I wouldn’t be.

Ugh I can’t believe I’m yet again doing this.

Because of people like you and your ilk I’ll never again share anything I know that’s yet to become public knowledge.

PS: don’t forget to (sarcastic) laugh emoji this post just as you add to pretty much everything I say.

PPS: DannyZ never berates posters who question the validity of his info because no one ever does question the validity of his info. Simples.

lowkey theyre just jealous they arent as cool as you and dont have the connections you do

You would think... the longer this goes the less likely he is actually staying.

Otherwise what is so secret squirrel important about either McVee or announcing a contract 🤔? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

We don't have a coach yet, I'd be waiting too

When all of this settles and IF he has actually signed months ago can we find out the reason behind all this of this smoke and mirrors behind the curtains (to quote a famous Cloke). In truly fascinated about what all this fuss is about.

Is there a world where everyone is correct here.

I'm wondering if perhaps he did sign, but it hasn't been announced as he is leaving on an NBA style 'sign and trade' deal 🤔

Not sure how that works for the Ghosty and Fence bet though. Nil all draw.

I'd find that bizarrely odd if that was the case and highly doubt it be a thing in the AFL.

If Judd is going around saying he has signed months back but is waiting for an announcement from his manager then again, I find that bizarrely odd from his manager considering we have seen multiple re-signings during the year from other players in our team.

I mean, Ghosty said on this thread at a training day at the end of June that he had spoken to Judd and advised her that he had signed and it would be announced in a week or two as they're just putting the final touches.. that was June and its pretty much September. I feel like Judd's management has perhaps advised him to hold off until end of year to assess his options perhaps.

Something certainly doesnt add up.

it's possible they are waiting for Tom Morris to announce it but he has been too busy

Maybe he got lost dumpster diving outside Ikon Park.

Ghosty dont let those who are jealous get to you . While I do not doubt you tell things as you see them. Players and players management have their future to look to.

I like reading your reports of interactions with players and wags. It makes them human. And I look forward to insights , but I read each with MY bias . Enjoy them anyway .

Keep up your good work! If I do not want to read your stuff. The block button is there.

Thou personally I never use it.

Why wouldn’t we,think about it did Gawn and Jackson work well together

As great as he’s been the end for Gawn is coming sooner rather than later

My thinking was twofold PSD. Firstly, I saw Jackson as Max’s ultimate replacement - he actually is better as the primary ruckman. Secondly, if we had the opportunity to get Jackson, surely we’d need all our draft picks to get it done. Hence my comment.

While i am not doubting the posters who are saying he's signed, perhaps he has, i've got no idea.

I don't really understand why we would make such a song and dance about saying we announced Goody sacking as soon as it happened because that's the right thing to do and then re-sign Judd and wait to announce it. if that's happened it's a very odd inconsistency by the clubs decision making.

maybe a few months ago he decided to sign on but didn't put pen to paper

perhaps he's changed his mind in the meantime or is having doubts

now that the season is over it makes no sense to delay announcement if the decision to stay has been made

i've no problems with players making decisions in their best interest, their careers are short.

but i get the sense Judd is over playing his hand here.

Listening to the guys on "Gettable" there is a 2-year deal on the table, Dees very confident it will get signed. McVee has not looked around and is not talking to any other clubs, both Cal and Riley expect him to sign once the coach is sorted out. "There is no pull to WA"

Maybe he signed but held back execution of the contract…

They are the same thing.

Execution is the act of signing a Contract or Agreement.

I would imagine we are very confident of it being signed, if it already has been.

If you’re buying a house in NSW the contract to buy the house is not (effectively) executed until signed copies are exchanged. I can sign a copy of a contract to sell my house but until I tell the conveyancer / solicitor to exchange signed copies, it is not executed

Similarly, in commercial contracts, at least those I’ve been involved in, a vendor can sign a contract to procure their services but it is not executed until the procurer signs/witnesses and sends a signed copy

It was based on the above I made the comment

Fair points, although a signed contract and affixing a signature is a type of execution which will then create a legally binding agreement (and an indication of the agreement of terms), executed contracts indicate all parties have competed their obligations under the contract.

Also fair points, although: if someone signs a contract and hides it in safe, was it ever really signed?

Better get Jessica Fletcher onto it.

I understand, but execution is the same as signing.

With a playing contract, they are signed/executed and then copies are exchanged, but that has nothing to do with execution of the contract.

I think Google will provide a better explanation than I can.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
