Brad has never led a major business/organistion and may be wondering (or have wondered) "...what do I know about chairing a footy club - or anything else..?"

Rest assured Brad your'e doing just fine and are a credit to yourself and your  playing reputation.

Lucky to have him as one of us.

Brad's achievements in a few short months.

  • Seamless and bloodless transition to lead the Board
  • Drove the FD and Board reviews (and will oversee their implementation)
  • Negotiated the departure of our CEO
  • Facilitated the arrival of Steve Smith (pending voting) and succession plan to be the next Board leader
  • Ended the off-field legal dramas taking the unwarranted heat of our coach and our club.

In a few short months he has neutralised the topics creating negative media attention. 👏👏👏

I will confess I was a bit 'meh' when he joined the Board and thought replacing Roffey was just window dressing.  I was very very wrong!

If he does nothing else he has been incredibly successful in laying the foundations for our stability, growth and success.

Change management is one of the hardest things for any organisation to undertake and Brad hasn't put a foot wrong.

What a load of rubbish, think you overestimated his super human abilities in these matters.

So you don't think he was a big part of everything?

Obviously he isn't doing it all on his own, but he's definitely been a driving force in getting these matters sorted.

The previous administration couldn't/didn't get it done, and under his stewardship its done.  Not sure why the negativity.

He did captain the MFC and lead a group of players - think that counts for something leadership wise and not many of the business/organisational type expert leaders that might stand for president could bring that to the table.

While realising that it's still obviously pretty important he is able to lead the business/administration side, I would think that having a player/captains perspective is something that is pretty darn important to have when leading a footy club and probably exactly what we need right now to provide the sort of space to let the players get on with things and get us back on track on feild next year.  We start winning games consistently and convincingly next year and just watch all these off field issues evaporate in the eyes of the media.

Because facts matter unless you don't think so.

Pert is leaving of his own accord or is Green lying on that matter

I very much doubt Pert would be leaving, at this point without the Review

So you've never sat around a serious Board table or understand good governance?

Some demonlanders drive me spare.

Given the remaining Board is largely unchanged Brad can take credit as change agent for sure

I'm still a bit sceptical with Green but I certainly acknowledged that I feel he has been really proactive and especially with his communication of late which I respect and something Roffey clearly lacked.

As members, it's good to be informed every now and then on what's happening around the club.

Well yes according to Green, but apparently he negotiated to keep him on as a consultant so there's that?

Agree, great summary.

On top of that & under his watch;

  • Clayton and Christian are back in the fold and not saying/doing things to embarrass us
  • We obtained another top 10 pick in a strong draft
  • He's communicated outstandingly well to the members, and;
  • Called out non-sense, gutter reporting (eg. Clarrie cleaning out his locker), via his personal Twitter

Green is all about the supporters.  He knows who are the backbone of the club and is communicating better than any President in recent times.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
