When his junior marking comes together at AFL level, he is going to become a weapon that could kick 30/40+ goals a year.

When he started in the goalsquare at times in the second half... so exciting.

He's done that a fair bit in the second half of the season. When his marking clicks, watch out. He'll be genuinely threatening from the goal square.

Does Jordy Lewis google ‘serial killer style’ to find his glasses?

He looks like every 1970’s forensic Police sketch.

If Richmond or North don't take him 1 or 2 they'll regret it for 15 years.

I'd take him pick 1 if i was Richmonds list manager.

If we get him at what will be pick 6, start dancing coz it's a huge steal

Let’s all dance @Ted Lasso

Harvey will be a star in years to come 👏👏

I love Langford. Love him.

What’s really exciting is that the things he needs to work on are relatively easy fixes.

He needs to work on his handball skills and become less left side dominant. He also needs to work on his body positioning in the contest and get better at accepting and absorbing contact.

As far as a list of fix its goes, that’s a very short list for a 1st year player. He’ll run out games better and get stronger just by maturing physically.

His game sense, timing and left boot are all potentially elite. It’s really up to him to keep working and for us to provide him with the environment for success.

Didn't get exposed for pace on the wing by Baker who is no slouch. While obviously not as quick, he runs smart lines and isn't as slow as some reports made him out to be. Been a fan since his bottom age level in the Coates league, he hit the scoreboard regularly there and has a real weapon up his sleeve in his contested marking. We have a star in the making I believe.

Talking about speed Harvey clocked the 5th fastest speed during the game and game high 25 sprints yesterday. He’s fast and has stamina, once he gets on top of the other limitations in his game, he will be hard to stop. I was so excited that he got through to us at pick 6 and top effort @Ted Lasso. I’m dancing TL.👍😁

He's not wrong.

It's right up there with Clarry a decade ago as best debut season by a Demon in my lifetime. His left foot is beautiful. His decision making and ability to get to the right places to have an impact is elite. He'll be a top 5 player in the comp once he moves into his rightful position in the guts. The club needs to build the next premiership core around him.

Unbelievable we got him in red and blue. Last years draft appears to have been a super draft, and Langford is the best of the lot!

If the mark and subsequent set shot goal he kicked on the angle in the last quarter isn't enough to get you excited....

I also like that when things don't quite go his way or he makes an error, he doesn't drop his head, he gets on with business and will do something seriously brilliant not too much later. I'm thinking of the one-on-one contest he lost at the MCC members half forward flank yesterday.

Conversely, Kolt doesn't have that ability or confidence yet to build into a game if he makes an early error.

Going bold.

This kid will be the best player in the competition in 2 years.

So good both inside and outside

Jordan Lewis on board as well (not as strong on the timeline though - happy stick with it though)

Absolute gun.

If Jordan Dawson who is a similar type went at pick 50 odd, I can't imagine how good this kid can be if his work ethic and professionalism are there, (which by all accounts they are).

Very exciting.

he didn't have a good game overall i thought against the doggies

but what i liked, and shows good character/resilience, he persevered. and late in the game he took that excellent mark and converted. had a good 4th quarter actually

shows to me he's made of the right stuff

I don't think I sent this to you, but I might have. Nah - I've been watching him properly all year.

Okay let's ramble on the positive here..

Just a lazy 26 disposals and 665m gained tonight.

Its the first time i have been this excited about a first year player since Jesse Hogan and Clayton Oliver from their first year in the AFL system.

This kid is a genuine jet and yet he hasnt even played a minute in his actual preferable position as an inside mid.

What's his ceiling?

The Bont, buy potentially even more damaging offensively.

Nah no good. He’s got no pace😃

His big weapons were on display tonight. Some good contested marks and a powerful and accurate left peg. Ran the game and season out well too.

Elite..

The best thing to come out of 2024 is the two stars we picked up in the draft.

Langford and Lindsay will be the next midfield winning duo for us

Crazy impressive talent. I'm just as bullish on Lindsay as well. These two are going to be a pleasure to watch for the next 15 years.

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.
