And I thought his statement about being committed to the red & blue was hard to swallow...

It’s fine, the AFL senior Doctor was with our Doctor and made the decisions jointly and there were still problems in hospital, which had nothing to do with us and the AFL has ticked off on our handling of the incident.

The AFL wants this all fully checked and studied, so it doesn’t happen again.
We are not in the gun for this one…

To be fair, Mother Theresa could promote this Parma and I would still maintain it sounds awful 😂

You're saying you'd have nun of it?

Yeah it sounds more about changing the process going forward.
If it makes the AFL more proactive with injury management then great. Frankly I’m all for it, and same goes for having medical imaging available at the ground.

The "Petracca Parma" promo is a smart move by the club to demonstrate that all is now well in the relationship and take some heat off.

Nothing in that advertising campaign mentions our club in any way.

Cheesy puns are a habit on Demonland (got 2 in there!)

It is a joint promotion.

On the left showing the mfc logo and sponsorship at the bottom is the version emailed to members.

The version on the right doesn't show the logos as it is on the club's website.

As I mentioned sponsors often use players in their promos.

Well,  if their standards were higher than mine when I was 18 at 3am after 11 pints it wouldn't be a problem

When I was 18 . The football media were often in the room leading the dance. Or making up the stories in the far corner.

I see the Petracca Parma logo is in blue, could still be used even if Trac went to another club with a matching colour scheme [runs for the foxhole before the incoming mortars detonate] ... 😁

Carlton is really the logical club for tracc.

If it was 1979 when Lygon Street could still be considered little Italy.

I heard his Nona gave him a recipe for Humble Pie - but Tracc doesn’t like the taste.

Sauce?

Thank god I have break dancing training to get me away from all this tracc stuff. We bond afterwards ripping the tops off of a few fluffyducks (long necks on a hot day).Correct me if I am wrong but a certain bloke from Romsey was seen at training in his pink lycra jumpsuit, would be a great pickup for the team especially with the nationals in November held on top of ayersrock (book early)

Carlton (the neighbourhood) and Lygon Street have changed and are changing but I am confident Nonna Tracc would aporove of the lunches served at Parco dei Principi with potential team mates like Silvagni, Cerra, Cincotta, Fantasia and Pittonet there ...  😁

Being a bit bleary eyed, I initially thought Trac and Rivers had been hanging out with Jamie Oliver to whip up some pukka parmas.

FYI - it was around a couple of weeks prior to him confirming his (apparent) commitment to the club on 31/08.

Here he is, making a Petracca Parma on 21/08, and I'm sure the video was made well prior to that.

Throw in a free dessert option - the Petracca Palaver.

Think i’ll just have the Spargogetti Bolognaise

The Petracca Parma is in the ‘Finals Fever’ section of their menu

not kidding

Used to love the Petracca Parmy...much too salty these days.

Apparently Christian is going to open a Traccaria on Lygon.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
