Time to give Jefferson and Fullarton a run and see what they have to offer.

Why can’t we seal these close games 🤷‍♀️

Just watch those last 3 minutes.

We didn't even man up properly when they took position.

We're so one dimensional

Genuinely lost that game due to the umpiring.

3rd game where a sh-t free, this time to toby ducking, costs us a loss by under a goal. Sick to death of it.

Umpires genuinely cost us the game, no ifs or buts about it.

Head in the sand. Their handball game in the middle of the game and our horrible centre clearance work were the difference.

Tough loss.

Thought our effort was very good most of the night. stuck at it when the game looked gone

They just had that bit more class than us when it counted.

The boys can hold their heads up. We were just beaten by a better team on the night

Go dees.

Platitudes, we are Sheeit so many ordinary players

Billings and Laurie not up to AFL standard.

Now that I believe in ... Turner should have been on earlier as his bulk and marking were missing up forward. Rotten season for all of us.

After being so good for 3 quarters, perhaps he didn't have the fitness base to go a 4th.

Who would have thought that Tom Green would have won that last centre clearance. We were shizen all night in the middle.

It was obvious how we cleared out the space … then Tom Green knew it and CLARRY WAS ASLEEP. Clarry not the contested player that he was. Green beat him to the footy on many occasions.

You'd think they would have put Koz in the guts with a minute to go.

Instead they waltzed it out

Effort was there. Just not good enough. Bloody frustrating though.

- Lose to Carlton by a point

- Lose to Brisbane by 5 points

- Lose to GWS by 2 points

Mids got absolutely smashed all night.

You'd think by the last quarter we would have at least try to really go defensive on their mids to stop their stoppage dominance, but no we didn't.

Oliver giving Green space in that last centre contests sums it all up.

We cost ourselves. They dominated us for long periods of time. Used it better and were just a class above. We tried hard but they’re simply better.

We're so one dimensional

We don't run with the ball and link up, don't hit targets and we are so slow to move it in transition.

We only looked dangerous when we were taking the game on in the last 6 minutes.

Such a cop out excuse.

Footy is a 4 quarter game.

Heartbreaking.

But the loss sums up 2024 perfectly.

We showed glimpses, but not consistent enough. Our lapses are too frequent and too costly. Better teams are overtaking us now and we’re too slow to respond and too little too late.

Can we get a Hogan type player? 🤣

Good to see Petty continue to improve.

Still a sniff for finals but will be tough for the reasons above. Still hoping.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
