I'm sure you'll get some firm 'feedback' on this, but I agree. Not the most likeable fella, but then again opposition clubs say the same about Kozzy when he bumps or Spargo when he ducks.

Not to put down Chandler, as I quite like him, but for the sake of comparison - Owies averages nearly twice as many goals, nearly twice as many goal assists, but Chandler has him covered for kicking efficiency and pressure acts. So, in saying that, could we look at moving Chandler more into the ANB style role where he roams a bit more, and put Owies into the forward line? I definitely think that combination would make us a little more attacking.

Absolutely the number one target next year. Nothing less than a 6 year contract. Andrew Brayshaw will turn 26 at end of next year.  Six year deal will be sought and will push Freo into uncomfortable territory.  You never know !!!

Andy Brayshaw’s about the safest bet in the league, Freo won’t have any issues giving him 6 years. The question will be money and whether he’s happy over there. 

The sticking point is whether Serong will leap him for the captaincy and whether Young, Serong, Bolton all leap him as mids and he has to play forward or wing more.

In the real world you sign Brayshaw. In a fantasy world building a perfect side I’d want a big bodied mid and more forward class to play next to Young, Serong, Bolton more than I’d want Brayshaw. But I suspect he’ll be signed by March.

The Morris report said Melbourne denied it and listed St Kilda and Essendon as the clubs with the cap space.

St Kilda probably the one, after losing Battle they’ve got a huge hole at CHB and not much big spending anywhere really (maybe Max King and Marshall). Has all the hallmarks of Gubby Allen.

I haven’t seen enough from Mac as a forward to say he’s worth that money. We’ve got Petty for a couple of years at least as well as Lever. That’s a lot of cash for key backs even if they would be dominant.

Not sure the timing really adds up for us. But I love that the Suns will be kept honest for him and they’ll need to punt Lukosius to free cap space.

the list squeeze at suns may provide a few interesting options if we can get them for little to provide some depth.  Discussions include Lukosius, Rosas, Day (DFA maybe), and Davies.

of interest:

Mids - Robertson (BL), Peatling (GWS), Brodie (Freo), Parfitt (Geel)

Fwd - Kreuger, Not sure on value of Wright.

Ruck - Kruger, Wright, Day could play this role as genuine ruck/fwd allowing JVR and Jeffo to be pure fwd.  Still not ruling out Fullerton either to come on.

Interesting idea to get Raik Andrew (Mak's brother who is our NGA), as some bargaining power for Mac later

I'd be targeting Sam Day from the Gold Coast along with Rosas.

Pretty sure Day would come free and Rosas would come cheap say a 3rd or 4th rounder.

I would mention 2 meter Peter from Essendon but still in contract and would want a 1st rounder.

Hopefully Kalani White chooses Melbourne, although I assume the club knows the answer to this already.

I'm surprised it doesn't mention his 2023 season where he played predominantly forward kicking 35 goals 17 behinds in 18 games. Presents really well, strong mark, confident, reads the ball in the air and  kick straight.
