Sparrow,  River's etc just [censored] their dacks when under pressure they cannot think it through.

Sparrow, Chandler & Petty should not be playing.

Assuming a second half the same as that first... i'd add Clarry to that but will wait to see if he can turn it around.

Viney has also been a long way off his best for whatever reason since the Crows game.

Even if we get well on top and win most contests it wont result in goals because we butcher the ball. We get in open space, no pressure and cant take advantage. It's so frustrating to watch as a supporter.

I'd play Trac out of the goal square and push the other forwards up the ground.

Protects his body and back him to win it 1v1 deep.

Seriously [censored] off and stop mentioning  binman every time the team is playing like [censored].

We all support the same team, but that’s where a lot of our commonality ends. People who make comments like this are lacking cerebral power. Also that particular poster should be booted off the site entirely.

We’ve gone All In on Contested ball with the end result usually being a stoppage in our over crowded forward 50, Goodwin has nothing else. That Tired and well exposed game plan won’t cut it anymore.

Wasted opportunity to trade clarry & petty at the end of last year. The bold moves we needed to make to set this playing list up for years to come. Just like onfield, we’re WAY too safe off it aswell.

Season and Window over I've given them enough chances to prove me wrong.

I've seen enough, if you can't beat half a F'n VFL side then that's enough from me.

Play the kids and start again.

There aren’t that many kids to play. The list is looking bog ordinary.

I don't blame Goody for ten players not laying a single tackle for a half.

Just weak and heartless.

You know that's normal, right?

Sydney finished their win over Geelong with 5 players without a tackle, and another five with only one for the game.

Hawthorn had 4 players with zero, and another 6 with just 1.

Today's game has been flawed by missed shots on goal, defence pulled out of its comfort zone, a scattering of bad turnovers in bad places, some iffy umpiring as always and a star player hurt, but it has been a legit effort.

Where are all the JVR doubters? Love this kid!

Trac needs to go home to bed. He is playing probably with broken ribs and can’t move

Better Dees! Just move the ball with intent.

C’mon boys, you can do this

I have never seen the coaches lock themselves away at half time for a meeting. Very weird.

They're trying to work out how they can further destroy a premiership list by playing even more boring insipid football.

Laurie and Chandler are second rate and Turner and Howes are not ready. More holes in our list than Swiss cheese

Our senior acquisitions have been ordinary since the 21 GF as well.

Dunstan, Hunter, Billings all rubbish.

Our list management has been millionaire stuff.

Even the best teams replenish year on year with quality. Not us.

where would we be without JVR

Great work by Koz to get it to him too.

Why were they both sitting on the bench last qtr?

Clarry is giving away stupid free kicks out of sheer frustration.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
