I need a titanic version. Also the Gawn goal.

Also a Spanish version with GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I reacted the same as the commentators.
"ah, he's overkicked it ... out of bounds {relax} ... what? OMG that's crazy"

Maybe it's just me.  Is this a female thing?   🤮

Watching the replay repeatedly you also grasp what a great moment Petty had there. Read it and reacted instantly then absolutely pounded the grass flat to make the distance to spoil that pass.

A little cherry on top of a great (touch-wood) return to form.

I have a feeling this won't win goal of the year due to the perception of it being a bit arsey (see Clarry at Adelaide Oval).

Yet, I attended a high school next to Footy Park in the (ahem) mid-90s.

Remember riding home from school one day and stopping to watch the Crows forwards practicing the dribble-turn kick from the pocket for at least half an hour.

A genuine AFL skill.

Fritta’s goal was number 2 in the Top 10 plays of the round.
The Daicos goal of course was number 1.
Great goal also in a pressure cooker situation. Degree of difficulty puts Fritta number 1 for me.

I like Clazza’s reaction at the end.

I would love to know how long it took for Fritta to gather and lay the ball across his boot. Very slick work.

Watching it live I knew the significance immediately. I let out a wordless yelp of joy when he got his fingertips to that ball. I think it was a game-winning moment. Who knows what happens if Geelong get clear. Instead it's a turnover and leads to a brilliant goal from Fritsch, but none of that would have happened without the fingernail from Petty.

I love how the goal umpire watches the ball as if it is contagious

Reactions, people hugging, as two field umpires were just standing still, not believing what they saw, and the last was the Goal umpire looking intently at the distance between the post and the ball saying to himself that was clearly a goal but should i call as touching the post and then the replay shows there was at a foot between the two, and i look like an [censored].

I love those multi calls, but seriously, the first call went with "fortuidous touch" to describe Petty's desperate spoil.  Huge facepalm fella.

People just need to hear Eddie Betts & even Jack Riewoldt describe the degree of skill & execution in that kick & goal ..not one suggestion it wasn’t deliberately executed…

I was listening to ABC on Sunday and couldn't believe it when they rated Daicos' goal as better.

[censored] what filth biased [censored] that was.

They just want the magpie clicks i reckon  …  nobody could actually think Daicos goal was better.

That goal was NOT a fluke. I saw his eyes looking at the spot on the field where he intended the ball to land and where it did indeed land. Of course the unique shape of the ball means there always is an element of luck involved - Fritta said as much about the final two bounces before it went through - but that goal was by design.

Incidentally, you know you’re alive when that goal happens while you’re sitting next to his mum. 😂

Don't even bother about anything else.

Give him the car, house , boat ....

Dons franks or whatever it is.

Competition over. G.o.t.y.

Done and dusted.

I fell off the coach watching that. I'm sure neighbors thought someone was being killed.

well uncle, you should know by now that the abc is just a woke propaganda operation now

Damien Barratt didn't rate Fritta's goal as good as the Nick Daicos one, as it wasn't as important in the context of the game.

3 minutes left on the clock with a 2 point lead, to effectively kick the sealer not enough context?

Because Barrett is a deadset clown who has never liked us.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
