Just called Bailey Williams.

There's only one player on the ground with that surname.

Thankfully Bailey Smith isn't playing.

Looks like free kick Bulldogs is back in vogue, currently 10 to 2.

Both are very poor defensively so the Saints should be able to claw a fair chunk of this back if they play fast smart footy

I find it ironic Joel Selwood would give advice on how not to draw a high free kick like its something he never did.

A bit like Leigh Matthews carping on about not hitting people behind play!

If I were a St Kilda fan, I don't think I would have survived the 2004-2010 period with zero premierships to show for it.
Just imagine we lost in 2021 and exited this period with no premierships. It would be intolerable.

I have a few friends who are Saints fans who have lost all interest in the club since 2011. So sad.

This is classic Dogs under Bevo. Needs a ‘backs against the wall, us against the world’ mentality to get them up.

It’s consistency that’s there issue.

Fortunately for St Kilda my 4  Sainter mates have stayed as members.

This will be a laughable opinion to many, but it’s why I don’t think Ross Lion is all he’s made out to be. He took over saints after all the hard work had been done and no flag.

Then leaves when they start going south.

Then he inherited Freo after all the hard work had been done, no flag.

Then leaves when things start going south.

If he wins a flag after returning to the saints then I’ll own up to how dumb this comment is. But that’s an ‘if’ he gets them to win a flag but…

That St. Kilda team in the 10,11 years especially, was filled with so much A grade talent, it’s actually absurd they didn’t win a flag. And that team was gifted to Lion just like Freo.

No flags.

Classic Bevo

dogs fans will be devo

Not sure if the TV commentators have mentioned it (as I'm listening via SEN app) but there was absolute bedlam for people getting to the ground tonight. Power outage on the train lines and the trains weren't even stopping at Southern Cross before the game. Then everyone jumped in their cars and the roads were stuffed. Hence pretty poor crowd.

I know a lot of St Kilda supporters

i honestly don’t know how they can be bothered

They were Favourites to win this earlier today…

They did this with Easton Wood. They never called him ‘Wood,’ It was always ‘Easton Wood.’

The funny thing is that for all their problems... Dogs are only one game behind us

By the end of the weekend we will probably be 8th

It's a long season

Probably the Sunbury line DW.  I use it for work and every day there's either an illegal trespasser on the tracks, a police incident at a station or a power outage somewhere that shuts down the line on the way home.

It tends to be players with surname type first names.

I first noticed it with Mitchell White of WC Eagles about 30 years ago. Continued with Fraser Gehrig et al. Although that BT moron used to call him "Fraser" sometimes.

This discussion is more interesting than the carnage taking place at Doglands.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
