The Tribunal found the incident was still medium impact, but downgraded the sanction to a fine based on "exceptional and compelling circumstances".

[censored] 🤦🏻‍♂️ not even pretending it’s about consistency anymore

Any clues on the "exceptional and compelling circumstances"???
Did the Brisbane defence team play Country Road in a karaoke session with a few beers and the tribunal all song along with Charlie?

It really didn’t take long for Gleeson and Christiansen to reveal themselves as a corrupt joke.
Greene, Butters, Cameron, under the standard applied to Kozzie should ALL have gotten at least a week. There was potential for serious injury in all three, all three involved head high contact, should be at least one week each, probably more, but they don’t play for Melbourne, case closed.

Sorry, should’ve linked: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1110271

“Cameron's exemplary record was taken into account in the verdict, with the 29-year-old playing for 10 years, or 207 games, without being suspended.”

I once knocked a bloke out cold on the footy field.

Luckily, he regained consciousness after I gently whispered my community work into his ear, along with my achievements and good character.

Probably saved his life come to think of it.

He literally was cleared because of his ‘good character’. He was allowed to bring Eddie Bettes and Indigenous elder to vouch for him. This is extraordinary. The rule of law is dead.

lol what a farce

Cameron cleared

Anderson finally had a win at the tribunal despite getting references to players suspended previously incorrect

An absolute farce. I'll always love the sport of Australian Football but I've fallen out of love with the league, just a corrupt organisation.

Was found guilty of medium impact, that is a suspension, unless you are a good bloke, who in Cameron’s case work's with Indigenous youth.

Robbo, Whately on 360 stunned, journos Jay Clark, Glen McFarlane and Ralphy on Midweek Tackle, also stunned and appeared actually angry.

We have one rule for some and another for others.

Can’t wait to hear Kingy.

Laura Kanes’ words of “all players are treated equally” are now quite hollow.

IMO the sooner the Tribunal Chairman and Christian are gone and the whole system is overhauled, the better.

Consistency simply does not exist in the AFL judiciary.

NFI! Christian strikes again.

That clown is unbelievable, how can someone like that keep his job and have this much power?

I don’t know why anyone is surprised at this. The AFL is only in the business of making money. They spend their time and effort creating a facade of equity and fairness - but neither of those things are actually in their best interest.

Cameron doesn’t play = less money. Therefore Cameron plays. Ditto Maynard. Ditto Cripps.

Not sure if mentioned here yet but Gary Lyon on SEN this morning brought up the little known fact that Cameron has been FINED 5 times in his career for dangerous tackles.🤦‍♂️

He doesn’t have a spotless record like Pendlebury for example, and obviously hasn’t learnt from his soft feather warnings

So many people also blaming Lever for it, wow. He was picked up and thrown backwards and a tackle like that would be a sin bin in the NRL. I do think he put a bit of mayo at the end, but doesn't change the fact the tackle was dangerous.

Also, trying to use the weight difference as an excuse, Jack Viney has been on record saying his brother can easily take him down and he has him covered by a good 10-20kgs but it doesn't matter if you use your weight correctly.

What a joke. Obviously not a clear record then. Unbelievable that they would come to that conclusion. Was the AFL lawyer deliberately putting up a limp case again (eg Maynard)?

Kanes had the perfect opportunity to sack Christian when he threatened to resign over the Maynard debacle last year.

I can only assume the boys club stepped in.

Any boss in any organisation would normally take that tantrum and show him the door.

Disgraceful

So what's different for Kozzy? Surely he is as popular as Cameron.

There's something beyond money, the AFL has their favourite children (Sydney, Geelong et al.)
