Marked well. Kicking off. He’s a very good no 2. Don’t think he has the height for a kpf1 role

He is 197cm and a super athlete. Doggies just don’t know how to play him to use his strength.

They seemed to be playing to his strengths today. He saw plenty of it. Would have had a bag if he kicked straight.

The comparisons to Buddy is bordering insane.

Well his contested marking is better than Franklins but his set shots let him down. Regardless of what anyone thinks if he leaves the kennel he’s poised to sign the biggest contract in the history of the game.

Sure he would have had a bag if he kicks straight… but how often does he?
I mean I would have had a bag too if I was 25 years younger, A foot taller and any good at kicking goals.

He kicked a bag against us, was it last year or '22, including the sealer

He'd be a good addition to our list if we could land him.

JVR and JUH together... mmmmm...

Solid fwd line for the next 10 years.

Watched him carefully today.  He's a bloody beauty.

Anytime a KF can win a fair amount of 1 v 1s when he is seemingly out of the contest or not in the favoured position (and occasional 1 v 2s) you know you have yourself a very very good player and a potential match winner.

We would not be doing our job well enough if we aren't deep in the mix for JUH as we speak!

Really enjoyed watching him today - great talent

He's a freak, we're lucky he can't kick the thing....or if he ever becomes a dee, we're unlucky he can't kick the thing...

I’m wondering how high and long Landers’ would be prepared to go?

5 years, $1.25 million a year?

10 years, $1 million+ a year?

What figures would be the top end you’d be happy to go?

Most landers wouldn’t know what the salary cap is without googling so we can just ignore that.

Aside from me of course…

The club needs to come out and clearly state it's intentions to the media on JUH before it's too late and we miss our chance to be in a news article.

Great to have you back Skuit

My guess is JUH will command 6 years at roughly $1.2M

Could even be offered 10 years but without kickers I doubt he would take it.

The incoming Tasmanian team will completely skew the market in so many ways

It will be okay for the Dogs. Like when Hogan left us they'll get two first rounders and with luck they'll pick up a key back which they desperately need

Look with your eyes.

Think with your brain.

Do the results match the hype?

If Bevo is there, don't sign, mate. Just don't sign...

I would think a 2 year deal would be the smart move .

He will then have just as many options after 2 years and can force his way out after 1 if things go even further south at the dogs

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
