No idea what has been going on with Oliver and we still need to have real concern for Brayshaw.  Billings adds that little more depth.

Yeah he was  but  my question for you geniuses was which unfulfilled talent  did the Dee's make better?

Steven May had not fulfilled his talent.... fast forward and he has two AA jackets with Melbourne.

Try again

Yeah, but he is so big!

Another small body ..just what they dont need.

When has any player  thrived/ reached their potential after trading to the Dee's.. ?

Names please? Take your time

Bran Wilson, White and arguably Peter Moore

Players pre and post being traded to Melbourne needs another thread.

I'm pro billings coming in for nothing which is what it looks like being.  still young enough with talent and skill no brainer

Seriously?

They were all good at the time

May was Captain

Lever a gun.

How is the latest unfulfilled high draft pick going in his new environment ?

Give me a break please.

Actually that he's not a big body is the problem I see

May, Lever and Hibberd became first time all Australians with us champion

So your argument is that because some trades don’t work we should never trade again.
I’ll give Tim a call, tell him he’s fired.

Ingerson came from the Crows and was more than handy.

So back on Billings...

Any confirmation of details yet? Particularly around if Saints are paying any of his salary?

Apparently they will be paying some of his salary and it's likely a late pick or even a swap of picks i.e. we give our future 3rd and they give Billings and a future 4th.

Billing’s and McAdam are much bigger players then Chandler and Sparky, 10/12 cm more.

We'll, you asked for it, now you're getting it.

I reckon Daniel Cross did rather well in red and blue! And in fact, he and his training regime helped to push the Melbourne football club Culture in the right direction.

Hi

we seem to have fixed that 26 points zone of death in 2023... we rarely got that far ahead 😉

Looking forward to rediscovering the zone in 2024

And is a much better poster since being traded from Big Footy.. 🤪

Billings for basically nothing is great business.

...subject to the cost, business-expense-budget(aka salary cap)-wise.

Stephen Sylvani was just on Trade Radio and said they hadn't even spoken to Melbourne about Billings. So who knows. SOS would be the last person I'd trust on anything. Based on the Vibe. Nothing else.

It's a SOS special.... how that bloke is still working in AFL recruitment is beyond me.

Imagine having 60-70% misses at the Giants and Blues and continually given jobs....

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
