zero possessions

The Lions are a mile off finals level intensity so far

I would have called you Charming too DD.

This is the danger in consecutive extra weeks off if you’re a top four side that wins week one. You can potentially lose momentum. A week off after the home and away has to be scrapped.

We were never going to win the flag with a midfield that only knows to bomb it long to an ineffective forwardline

we coughed up our games badly but jeez Port and Lions have folded pathetically.

Turns out the Lions are bigger chokers than Port!

zero aggression or intensity in a prelim from a final experienced team.

unforgivable

Carlton bomb it in consistently. If you’ve got aerial threats it’s a much better game plan.

I'll have to move inter-state next week if carlton qualify to play the pies. Melbourne will be unlivable.

lions 0-2    blues 5-1

dees?

lions  0-2    demons  1-5

You just know we'd be super accurate at the Gabba while we're all at home watching the game in our underwear.

The entire Finals System would have changed…

Or perhaps Gawn’s palm on the line…

Or the ARC overturning the ANB goal…

Or Melksham’s ACL…

Or our own  inability to kick easy shots on goal…

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
