My mail is that Angus is going well. Would not have been right for a prelim, possibly not even a granny but tests have all gone well and he is definitely keen to play on. Playing lots of golf.

Good news.

Good news.

He has a good five months to recover, if it takes longer so be it.

100%  expect Pies supporters  to boo Brayshaw everytime he gets near the ball in the KB game next year.

100% will happen

Maynard is no more culpable of the end of Brayshaw’s career than those that caused his other concussions. This is the problem, the AFL are still behind in protecting the head of its employees.

It's the Afl who are negligent IMHO.

It really would not surprise me. They really are a pathetic mob on the whole.

On the subject of Booing, it seems on the rise, especially when players kick at goal. I don't do it.

Why would you boo someone for no reason  trying to play their chosen sport?

It's easier for the mob to coordinate than 'Chewie on yer boot'?

I hate booing.  I never boo at the football.  I will, however, hold an exception to that rule for that dog Maynard.  Can't stand him.

You are not alone KDF, the worst part is he has a GF medal.

I know, that actually gave me a viseral reaction on Saturday, I felt actual nausea.

Hopefully Angus Brayshaw will be attending the Melbourne Demons Best & Fairest tonight too!

Why wouldn’t he?

Him and Cox 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

He's been feeling anxiety, headaches and dizziness

But it's mostly related to wedding planning

Ah-thank-you

No wonder some people suggest that the AFL is a totally corrupt body given the lack of due process and the non recusal of the Collingwood tribunal chairman.
Maynard playing again in 2023 after his (at very very least) careless / reckless assault on Angus makes me absolutely ill.  I have not been able to watch any final since🤮
It makes me question whether there is any scrap of integrity at all anywhere in the AFL.

something in me changed after this as well. I was at the game and that was wellbad enough but the collingwood cheering press and tribunal afterwards added toxic salt to that . Maybe I’ve  gone off football a bit since.

Is Jeff Gleeson aligned with Collingwood? Can you please provide a link?

I haven’t posted for a long time, and mostly read for news. Particularly, trade news.
But this, I can categorically say he is.
In my view, the fact that he heard this matter makes me as sick as the actual incident.

Thanks, what is his alignment, do you know? I think this is an important consideration.

I don’t know if he is a member, but he is a VERY keen supporter.

Saw an old but good mate at the dog park who is very fair and considerate. He is mad Pies fan. Not a member. He hurried up to me. I offered my congratulations. I dont think he noticed my lack of enthusiasm but he went on how MFC must be disppointed in their season. He then said Angus should give it up. I said Maynards actions were a footy act, were they? He said anyone going through the air cant change the outcome. We are both of a certain age and I replied that you dont have to come down like Abdullah the butcher with the butchers chop!

I said "George you were the very model of Justice on top of the Supreme Court. As a judge, I cant believe youve put on the blindfold". He said, underneath Im just a defence barrister.

They are not called 'The Filth' for nothing. Stuff 'em full of their staple diet - deep fried dim sims - if you'd ever seen them eat, there ain't no time for breathing and thus, no capacity to 'boo' our Gus.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
