I'd like this scenario too actually. Rematches are always fun.

We had to do it in 1990 against Hawthorn. Won both games, but they were brutal and we had nothing else left in the tank.

That's still one of my favourite finals wins. I was so scared that the mighty Hawks would roll us in the 2nd half but I was just a dumb little kid at the time.

The game was on youtube a while ago

It is played at Grand Final pressure

9.4 tonight takes him to 76 goals for the season. Sam Taylor has a big job on Curnow tomorrow.

Curnow has not been held goalless all season and last time Carlton played GWS in Sydney, Curnow kicked 2 so I would say the odds are in Charlie's favour for Coleman Medal No. 2. He needs 1 goal to draw level with Tex, 2 goals to win it outright.

I hope he's kept goalless just quietly.

Same. I like Tex and I’d love to see him take it out instead of Charlie.

What would make me laugh is if carlton beat GWS tmmrw and then go on and lose the elim to the dogs.

I could see it happen too. The Dogs have heaps of finals experience and are a different side in September. Carlton have started to dip and are finals virgins-so-to-speak.

One of the only times you'll find me barracking for Footscray.

It's been an awesome resurgence and I'll be happy to see him finally make the AA team. Was hard being a key forward in the time of Buddy, Hawkins, Jack R and Josh Kennedy but he's had s great career.

Such a shame the Croms have been denied Finals, purely because of AFL Pig Headed incompetence

Adelaide would be far more entertaining than Footscray

Brisbane faced a very determined St Kilda to day but the maggots ensured the Saints didn't really have any chance.

In so doing Brisbane, i think, have two consecutive home games.

Likewise. The umpires’ darlings from 2016-2022. Had almost 50 more free kicks to their opposition in the 2016 finals series, the Grand Final itself being the tip of the iceberg, especially in the last half when the game was on the line. The one Premiership I genuinely look back at and think, that wasn’t just.

I would love the Dees to have such a goalkicking key forward.

Tex was very getable too at the end of 2022. No club wanted to touch him though for PR reasons after that incident which saw him banished and publicly shamed. We should have offered him a contract, he would have come knowing it was a more likely route to success in the final stages of his career.

That wouldn’t happen.

The Dogs struggled to beat Geelong’s VFL side last night.

It was probably only match fitness of Cat’s younger guys in the last quarter that gave Dogs the win.

They look an unhappy team.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
