I think any club playing Collingwood will be very happy seeing Howe lineup in the forward line.

Assuming we beat Hawthorn we basically need to tank the last game against Sydney.

I heard there was a bunch of illness and general soreness going around the club next week.

Dunstan, Harmes and Jordon to take the opening bounce.

We need to stay 4th now and play Pies in week 1 at the G.

Just to be clear we beat Carlton. That was a goal.

Further to my last post, the way Collingwood are playing tonight, they’re just as likely to lose to Essendon next week (who always rise to the occasion of that matchup) which would mean Brisbane would finish 1st. Finishing 4th and playing them first up, then Carlton if we lost, a disaster

If the cocky Pies drop the last game of the season top spot will be gone.

The Lions deserve top spot. Haven't had a drop off all year, and lost 3 very close ones scattered throughout the year probably due more to their own mistakes rather than opponents being the better side.

Not to say I think they're better than a fully fit Melbourne in September on the G though.

Wow didn’t think of that.

That would make Sydney a critically must win if Pies lose next week.

So you think they aren’t trying two weeks out from finals? Rubbish.
They have nothing in the tank. Not even the air of invisibility that they had a month back.

Are you up with modern sporting trends?  Teams aren't serious in games that don't matter once they've locked in their pathway

We're just a bit behind in Oz.  Which is par for the course

Those here who follow the NFL or the NBA or even the MLB and soccer know what I'm talking about

Collingwood really looking shaky especially in defence.  Are they that bad, or are Brisbane that good?

Actually neither defence looks particularly solid.

Remind me to not go on here next week when the 'IS RESTING PLAYERS RISKING FORM?' debate starts. I already avoid any posts that mention 'loading' on either side of that debate, haha

Collingwood are going down like flies so I think I need to accept that Brisbane are going to win. Murphy looks like he's out so Collingwood losing to the DONS looks like a real possibility.

Which puts us at the Gabba week 1

So if you just heard Richo, he said no side in the last decade has lost more than 2 games between round 17 and 23 and went on to win the flag. This is the Pies third loss.
AFL is all about being up at the right time given how long and grueling our game and season is.
Pies have hit their worst form in August. Terrible timing.

Lol, as it stands now we have the best percentage in the league.
