Lever can’t play third man when Goodwin keeps dropping Thommo. I don’t know how the selectors can’t see what’s bloody plain to see.

100%

So lever is expected to stand there and let a man jump on his head for a spect or it’s blocking his run. WTF

We are mentally fragile against teams we should smack. Ongoing issue for the club.

Unacceptable start. Goody spray required at quarter time.

Salem has been crud for weeks and hasn’t started any better this week.

Rubbish rule.

No mids pressure putting defence under the pump

We're letting this happen, north aren't playing that well.

this is sooooooooo poor.

I don't like Gameday threads because of the overwhelming negativity, so I won't be hanging around here all that much.

But my early thoughts are:

  1. If there was any chance for the upset of the season, it was going to be off the back of North starting well and us starting poorly
  2. We don't play day games that well any more, barely playing them at all (0-2 this year with a red Sherrin)

Edit: is there a wind advantage? We'd want to hope so...

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
