That's not my idea of a fun Sunday arvo. I know Collingwood look vulnerable but they keep getting it done. It's a very good place to be.

Crows threw that game away in the first half. 1.8 is not good enough. their second was bloody amazing though

The Pies have definitely been found out though. The crows are typically horrible away and if they kicked straight they would have won easy.

I will suggest something that doesn’t suck.

We play Pies in first final and win and Port also wins, meaning we could make a GF playing all games at the G and one of, if not both of Pies and Port miss the GF.

did i see on that last inside 50 of the game Dawson get collected high?

not sure if accidental or not

It’s not coincidence that certain clubs get an armchair umpiring ride constantly.

I will never believe that, the evidence is overwhelming, it’s not rub of the green or a one off, it is blatantly constant.

The reason is most likely to do with the large one sided crowd.

The umps are incompetent but crows do ok on balance. The umps did their best to get them over the line when these 2 played earlier in the season. Their kicking cost them that game and cost them this game as well.

Was never going to be paid against the 2023 anointed premiers.

Agree and 21-11 frees to Pies and goal taken off Rankine and Fogarty and Dawson belted, as ball coming and yet Pies get 3 soft goals from frees in last quarter.

That said we need Pies and Port to beat everyone below us so good for us.

Spot on.   Disspassionately, another top 4 contender now 2 games and % behind Dees.

Upside IMO Crows validated last week's game against the Pies by Dees in that they showed just how to play them and their vulnerabilities.  We were no fluke.

Still, you have to be able to execute for 4 quarters to avoid the final 1/4 heroics by the Pies.

Yeah it is pretty much a square up

And the umpires. All under instruction. I really wonder what the umpires are told by their coaches.

Yep . Bleeding from the nose as a result and you can see him asking the ump why it wasn't paid!

That’s what I said, the large one sided crowd affects umpires.

Where was the game played when the Crows got the umpiring? Adelaide.

Is this the worst match-up visually in the AFL? That Gold Coast jumper abomination and then hawthorn with their colours (admittedly this design is better than their home one).

Yes. The reverse fixture earlier this season

It’s a very even year because most teams are 💩. Pies are top of the ladder and if you put them against most premiers they’d rate as very weak and a forgettable lucky team like the Bulldogs of 2016. Whoever wins this year will be a weak premier IMO. We could definitely steal another flag.

Yes, hard to predict what will happen next week. Even Carlton could resurrect given how the season is going so far.

Suddenly the Swans are a couple of wins away to be serious finals contender.

Last goal Collingwood kicked I think it was, 2 Crows players grabbed at the centre bounce without the ball and thrown aside, play on Collingwood goal wtf

I wouldn’t talk too soon. I don’t know if we will beat Adelaide.

I was being facetious Jaded.

That said - why on earth would you be concerned we'll beat the crows?

Because we got beaten the by the cats and the umpires at a ground they have a huge advantage at, the week after being far too good for the supposedly unbeatable pies?

True, but it works in their favour at Adelaide Oval

Your comment doesn’t ‘remain relevant’ because it wasn’t relevant to begin with.

Finally, don’t tell me to relax.

You really have a few issues. This is the second time you’ve blown up over a reply. The post was very relevant, regardless of what you say. Are you this angry when making the banners?

No, because Adelaide are a decent side who love to move the ball quickly, which is something that we have trouble with. They also have excellent ground ball players in their forward half, which is another weakness of ours.
They also have Burgess who would know the ins and outs of our side and has them running hot in second halves.

It is hardly a guaranteed win.

I know that’s why I referred to large one sided crowds, wherever played.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
