If we had have kicked straight, we would’ve won that game by 40 points.

Should've been a 10 goal win. I'll take that. Never looked like losing after half time.

Not sure who it was but prior to Roo’s goal, should be cited for going the man (McVee) in the centre square.

Also, for those that thought we would lose, it’d be nice to get a sense of what we did well today against the undeniable premiership favourites.

Looking forward to the post match reviews. 🙌🏼💙❤️

“Collingwood are a 50 point team better than us” “ no clarry no Melbourne” “pies will smash us” “I don’t see us going anywhere”

blah blah blah.

Collingwood lucky not to lose by 7 goals. Now all you naysayers can eat your words. We’re still not a premiership favourite??? Malakas.

GO THE [censored] DEEEESSSS!!!!!

How good was that? Pies had no clue until last 3 minutes and that required the umps to help them.

All the Eeyores - we have a very good team. Enjoy it. Don't look for perfection every week.

We dominated that game. Make no mistakes this is the Port game in reverse. We kick straight and it’s a 6 goal win.
Absolutely brilliant performance missing two very important players.

I want to give a massive shout out to Smith and Tomlinson. Played perfect team roles.
And McVee and JVR who are delivering beyond their years.

A performance that makes you so proud. What an effort!

Yea but then Pies fans wouldn't have been so traumatised by us crushing their fleeting hope in the last 30 seconds.

Tough finals like footy. Great game that could have been a little less stressful with straight kicking for goal. We beat them with our game style…

We nullified the pies game. Brough the heat and choked the corridor.

We'll beat them in September as well if we play them. No doubt in my mind about that.

Apart from the missed set shots, felt like there were fewer skill errors than in recent weeks and despite their limited match time this year I thought Tomlinson and Smith brought great value today and got us out of some tight spots.

imagine how good we’ll be when Kosi and Fritsch regain their form and Clarry and Petty are back in.

Wow just wow! We tried everything we could to stuff that up. Then the brain fell out of the ump and all hell broke loose!

Glad to win but Jesus tried to stuff it should have won by at least 3 goals.  Immagind if they kicked one more  l could not have standard it. Take the win

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
