I am in North America, yeah I just feel I am giving my money twice to Kayo, just for one game! Absolutely pathetic to be honest.

I am always concerned the VPNs won't work.

Anyways I guess I will have to ponder the next couple of days if I am willing to give the 24 bucks to Kayo/7 Network/AFL

Bullet VPN came recommended on here. I have just got back from 6 weeks in SEA. The first week it worked fine with Kayo. The second week it blocked the three Kayo servers they use and I missed the last quarter of the Suns game. In the end I  gave up and found sports bars to watch the game, in whatever city i was in.  I would not recommend Bullet.

This will be my first game since  we played the Swans, so I am pumped. I just hope we wipe the arrogant smirks off their feral supporters faces.

100 seats have just gone on sale in bay Q32 rows CC-FF, looks like another case of someone forgetting to put them on sale or Collingwood giving back member allocations in the ponsford

Do you know which bays are the 'Guest' bays for Redleg members and their guests?

TIA.

Can you just download a vpn and connect to an Australian server and then watch via Kayo or the 7+ app?

Pretty sure the 7+ app doesn't stream the AFL games.

(I think they are changing next year and may stream.)

@ElDiablo14

Most of the streaming sites are now obliged by their content providers to run a third party VPN tracker. This tracker updates daily with all the IP addresses for VPN sites. As fast as they add a new IP address at your VPN provider the tracker will find it within a few days. Even ABC iview started running a VPN tracker last year.

The new system is to use a program that changes your DNS but it's way too complicated for most of us by comparison to VPN's.

Would be much better if Kayo had a stand alone sub for AFL overseas. This would not upset the other content providers to Kayo and would be much better quality than WatchAFL. Of course the mega dollars paid by other streamers overseas (lol) for the AFL rights might be in jepoardy

Funny you mention the international broadcasters; My first ever contact/exposure to AFL footy (although I didn't know it at the time) was back in 2013 before I even migrated to Oz land.

Some random satellite dish channel was broadcasting AFL games on Sat afternoons in my home country of Mexico. I wonder how much they were paying for those broadcasting rights... 🤔

I do see what you mean but we aren't saying it.

We're not 'talking' where just 'talking'.

Zero is my guess in the sense that some content offerer would have packaged up a number of "off beat" sports and wholesaled them. Mongolian wrestling perhaps and of course curling

We've just put our family ticket +1 adult on Ticketek marketplace if anyone needs, or knows anyone that needs, a ticket.

General admission though

Purchased weeks ago for my birthday but the Mrs isn't recovering from her surgery anywhere near as quickly as expected so we've decided to stay home as a family.

So per email from club I upgraded my GA membership entry to get a reserved seat.

Just arrived at the ground and hear them saying there ARE general admission seats at top of Olympic (AA back) and first few bays of Shane Warne stand.

What gives?

How can it be a sell out if I have now walked around to a much better spot in the GA section, leaving my reserved seats empty?

And why did I have to pay extra to upgrade to a reserved seat, if I am now sitting in GA?

🤔

Yep, unfortunately this kind of sh*t has been happening for years.

Great to see a game widely announced as sold out weeks ago having an attendance falling some 16k short of capacity.

Didn’t make our yearly pilgrimage down from Central Queensland because it was “sold out.”

Bit disappointing to see those numbers, as good as they were for King Birthday and the Big Freeze, because it’s obviously not sell out numbers.

Prob 65-35 or 60-40 Pies. Blame the buffoons that said it was sold out. We turned up and made a lot of noise. 83k nothing to be sneezed at

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
