A wonderful day

I would imagine a sunnier place.

This is obviously done with the Tigers blessing.

They can now try out kids and plan for the future and look for a new Coach who can carry a rebuild.

maybe he could take over christian's job?

Sad news, he was my favourite post loss "presser" coach of all time and this year was going to be a big one for me and him. Oh well

Reiwoldt, Cotchin and tarrant to retire at the end of year.

Dusty, Grimes and Lynch are slowing down.

No first round draft pick this year after spending on Tarranto and Hopper.

Hardwick is smart. That cliff os coming quick then some thought.

Dusty will retire. He and Dimma are very close. He won’t hang around for a rebuild and who can blame him. He’s achieved everything and more.

West coast will pay way more

But I don’t think Dimma wants to rebuild. If he did he’d stay with Richmond.
Gold Coast have a decent list already. West Coast are a decade away.

Good on him for choosing his time.  He goes out with a record that any would envy.  He rebuilt a club from rock bottom, kept the wolves at bay and came out a three time premiership coach.  And in the end the media never got him!  That is a brilliant career.

Soooo...

Toiges.. Weagles... Woos... Wees'n'poos ...  all fighting it out for the glory of the Spoon..

Go get it you good group of guys ...

For a guy that’s probably still on the outer, that’s a massive story for Morris to break. Richmond would be furious with that leak.

But good on Hardwick to know when the time is up. He‘s done what Clarko should have done in 2019.

Hang on just a minute people. Morris broke the story but we have heard nothing official from Tigers. 🤔

I think we can back in a new lifestyle on the GC, for Dimma and his partner.

They have a list that can play finals.

Agree he is not about to rebuild a list.

The only other realistic possibility is Port, also with a ready made list.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick, the man who guided the Tigers out of the wilderness to win three premierships in four years, is set to quit, The Age has confirmed.

The Tigers will hold a press conference on Tuesday to make the announcement, which will be effective immediately.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
