That still means that one of Rivers or Brayshaw plays midfield if we play 7 defenders.

If Hunter goes (which he shouldn’t) I’d put McVee on the wing he was far from our worst last night

Daniel Turner has to come in imo.

Jake Levers form has taken a complete nose dive ever since they moved Petty which has left him playing as 2nd key defender which it's been proven over time that he plays his best footy as a floating intercept defender.

We built our our premiership defence off the back of playing 3 tall defenders. Stick to that.

Amen to this until Petty returns.

Who comes out though?  Or straight in for Bowey (inj)??

I think the FD will persist with JVR. They love the fact that he competes. Those calling for Nibbler or Langers to be dropped are wasting their breath/ keystrokes. Won’t happen. Those two and Spargo are always going to be picked when fit.

I don’t reckon TMac did enough to hold his spot. Has Turner ever played forward?

Don't think so.

BBB most likely gets the nod over Macca provided he has an injury free run at Casey

There's little at Casey.. perhaps they will get desperate and try Joel Smith up front

Bowey out allows Sparrow back in

Could well be no change

Struggles to get a kick at Casey but I guess it must be easier at AFL level

Not sure why people seem desperate to promote a player that isn’t in form and seems incapable of making a contest and chase when not in possession

Plenty looked slow last night and you want to add potentially our most immobile player - struggle to see the merit in this

We would run all the great leading full forwards out of form, it's a dysfunctional forward line, we don't have a Lockett, Brown ect but hey lets just bomb it in and expect it to be done.

just watch Casey today

we'll play the boundary and bomb it forward. Even have the left side kick out.

Do we ever practice anything different ... even for a quarter or two at VFL level let alone at AFL level

Prior to the Casey game, I would assume…

OUT: Hunter (suspended), McDonald, McVee
IN: Sparrow, Brown

JJ needs either a full game at afl level or straight up get dropped - he offered little last night after coming in for Bowey

Brayshaw must return to defence - too slow to transition between offence and defence as a mid

Bring BB back in. No point waiting. I think JVR's indiscipline was due to frustration at his lack of impact. Give him a few weeks at Casey to refocus.

I'm not very confident about TMac but maybe he'll be better with a game under his belt. He did kick 2 goals.

Sparrow to replace JJ.

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres
