Damn. 2nd on the ladder.

Second is just as good as first.

Top 2 gets us MCG finals the entire finals series if we win week 1. And our MCG form has been tremendous so far.

Can’t knock their passion and team spirit.

Collingwood are like cockroaches. You can't kill them.

Those misses have bitten Adelaide badly and admittedly I only watched the last 10 minutes but Adelaide played that badly.

When they were a point up they couldn't waste time by chipping it around because Collingwood wouldn't let them but kicking it near the boundary wasn't going to work.

Now they're back on top. Yuck

I’ve been watching footy all my 5 decades, and this is the best last quarter team I’ve ever seen. By a galaxy. They are also currently the best team in the AFL, it’s unarguable. And I hate it.

Crows deserved to lose. Umps did their best for them. Atrocious goal kicking and crumbled in the last quarter. Take nothing away from the pies but that was an embarrassing defeat for the Crows.

It's another great comeback but I'm not sure why it's so surprising. 7 goals 16 doesn't win too many footy games. It was really a detrimental lead.

They might be but they’re certainly beatable.
We are also currently 7-0 in fourth quarters.

I hate the filth.

Should have put the game away in the first qrt. Bigger ..experienced players were better in the wet . Adelaide is def a team on the up & let’s see how the Pies go for a long season playing at this level. The one quantity you can’t fault the Pies for & I have to acknowledge is they have always fought to the bitter end & they have enormous belief in each other. They also have a team with a lot of very experienced players ,

The first thing they need to do is look in the mirror. That was a pathetic lack of execution. Not quite the mature threat that people have been talking about, not yet anyway.

Great win, but geez Maynard’s is an average person

So are half of his teammates. A side full of thugs and criminals, and Moore/Pendles.

They will only become more intolerable.

Gotta hand it to them they always find a way to win

He is a meat-head.

Bugger it. Thought short break would have cost the pies in the last. Crows should have been out of sight before then. Adelaide were poor in the last.
Pies deserve to be top but they are beatable

They always seem to have more run in their legs in the last quarter. Same as last year.

And they've always got a free man in the right position (in this case through the middle) when they really really need it.

Of course, everyone’s beatable, they’re just the hardest to beat. If it stays that way through September, the flag is theirs.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
