Bitter but optimistic 22,289 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 If it's a points issue, it's possibly [censored] poor communication or, at worst, carelessness - I've done the same. Vic Roads or whatever they are called are borderline incompetents. 11 4 1 Quote

BDA 23,048 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Not much to see here. He was caught driving on a suspended license (i don't know why it was suspended). No mention of drink being involved. 2 Quote
Guest Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 No biggy. $500 fine. No criminal conviction. Suspended due to the accumulation of demerit points. Or as this article says, because he “ran out of demerit points” which tells you the level of “journalism” Zero Hanger is at… low. Quote

Ethan Tremblay 31,388 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 (edited) Happens all the time. People’s MDL’s are fine/demerit point suspended and they can be unaware until they’re pulled over. It’s on the driver to know the current status of their license so unfortunately “know knowing” isn’t a defence, hence the fine. Demerit point suspension.. probably racked up a heap of speeding fines. I’d argue against anyone suggesting or questioning if it’s alcohol related (as it’s not). Years ago back when I was a Detective, I was driving an unmarked police car around whilst fine suspended. It happens, move on. Edited March 28, 2023 by Ethan Tremblay 4 1 Quote

DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I hope we slide this one in under the radar but geez he really is incredibly stupid. Exhausting all your demerits takes a decent run of bad driving, especially when you're an AFL player who only has to get to training on time and one game a week. Maybe this is a case against Casey! The silver lining is he can split the ubers with Lachie Hunter. 3 Quote
