Well here comes another “apology” and “I’ve seen the light” and “learn from my mistakes” media

Oh and the usual club imposed sanctions that means he won’t play this week and maybe the week after.

That aint happening.

If it's a points issue, it's possibly [censored] poor communication or, at worst, carelessness - I've done the same.

Vic Roads or whatever they are called are borderline incompetents.

Not much to see here.

He was caught driving on a suspended license (i don't know why it was suspended). No mention of drink being involved.

No biggy. $500 fine. No criminal conviction. Suspended due to the accumulation of demerit points. Or as this article says, because he “ran out of demerit points” which tells you the level of “journalism” Zero Hanger is at… low.

Hahaha my mistake, should be okay now

Happens all the time. People’s MDL’s are fine/demerit point suspended and they can be unaware until they’re pulled over. It’s on the driver to know the current status of their license so unfortunately “know knowing” isn’t a defence, hence the fine.

Demerit point suspension.. probably racked up a heap of speeding fines. I’d argue against anyone suggesting or questioning if it’s alcohol related (as it’s not). Years ago back when I was a Detective, I was driving an unmarked police car around whilst fine suspended. It happens, move on.

As have I. Twice. On both occasions I wasn’t informed I had amassed the maximum demerit points, only to find out when pulled over.

I tried to go on vicroads to check my demerit points and you have to pay to get a report to see it, even though they have all the information available online

Steven just has a knack for getting himself in strife when his injured or on break

Oh I so hope number 11 sledges him about it

Do you really have to pay? If you log into your account it looks free to me.

Something like this ET?

I hope we slide this one in under the radar but geez he really is incredibly stupid.

Exhausting all your demerits takes a decent run of bad driving, especially when you're an AFL player who only has to get to training on time and one game a week.

Maybe this is a case against Casey!

The silver lining is he can split the ubers with Lachie Hunter.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
