If / When there’s actual news can we post a new thread? I can’t keep checking this every 5 mins .. and pretend to have conversations with people.  re stages of grief,  Im officially in denial .. everything will be fine and nothing happened. Also we won in Brisbane and kozzy re signed. im not well.  🥶

I suspect, good news or bad, our moderators will retitle the thread.

Just when you think it cant get any worse....

Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton the current Top 3

Im assuming the club would know by now. Max would have gone straight to Olympic park imaging from the airport as he lives on the peninsuLa so would have to travel all the way back to the city.

Kane Cornes will be frothing at the mouth, right now, so I doubt it will be him!

Port are being sodomized

The longer this goes without an update the more likely it is for a serious injury… let’s hope news comes out soon

I’m not a Physio or work in the medical industry but have read a number of clinical sites which are all non conclusive but suggest that a grade 2/3 ACL or MCL (partial / full year), the pain will almost always prevent you from walking unassisted.

Whilst there’s always exception to this rule, given his walking without assistance and what looked like without a limp, suggests there is a good chance it’s only a minor tear to a knee ligament. This is what I’m telling myself anyway to make the minutes go by.

I think he actually lives in Malvern now GtG. Still owns the pad in Blairgowrie though as a friend of mine lives on the same street.

Let's be honest, how many of us are hitting the refresh button every 1 minute.

He also converted a van with his brother and started a mobile food truck business called The Bearded Jaffle. Knocks them out for $14 each.

Max ran for about 30-40 metres towards defence immediately after the knock. Is that a good sign? No sign? Doesn’t mean sh iit? Anyone ?

You can read it both ways. No pain = good, so what caused him to leave ground? Instability = bad. However instability can be from any knee ligament injury = good.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
