Why not? Give him every chance to play. He is obviously very closeย

He is the best defender in the Competitionย

"Whyย fly himย up then?"

May will be in the coaches box again.ย

Not concerned about this. Tommo was good last week and probably unlucky to be dropped.

Happy for May to take all the time he needs to be 100%

Grundy is the main man tonight. Lot of teams have to get used to him in the forward line.

By red time in the last they'll all have left so I can bring kids down the bottom ๐Ÿ˜‚

Given youโ€™re at the game, Iโ€™ve got the pork belly on for you.ย

You really think that the Lions coaching dept will be in a mad panic when they see Tomlinson run out instead of May?

Every coach will tell you that late changes have zero impact on the opposition's game plan.

Every coach would plan for and around May. Him not playing will change their plans.ย

They were never going to risk him. I thought it was laughable that theyโ€™ll let our third most important player, aged 30, only have a week off with a calf strain.ย
If we win tonight I also donโ€™t think theyโ€™ll risk him next week. Itโ€™s a very very long season.ย

Donโ€™t agree.ย

He will play when he is ready, whether we win this week or not, whether weโ€™re flying or struggling.ย

For one, next week he can hold Buddy goalless for a third straight match.ย

I wonder if they looked back on that final to see what Brisbane did and what we did wrong.

Also wonder if they had a look to see what port did right to thrash them last weekย

Don't worry folks. Tommo is an able replacement. Our system will hold firm.

Goody spoke of that during the week.

I mean of course they wonโ€™t risk him if he isnโ€™t right. But I think if we win and he is right to go they might still choose to give him one more week just to be extra extra cautious.ย

Such a nice feeling knowing weโ€™ve got Tommo as a replacement.

The clubโ€™s depth is going to pay dividends come finals.

When May is ready to go,ย he will play.

Next week Lance is going to play..

Iโ€™m nervous. Not going to lie.ย
Brisbane are a hell of a lot better than they showed last week. They are also a much much better team than the Dogs.ย

If we are as good as we think we are, we win this in a canter.

PS ... I've gutted my Sportsbet account on this game

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
