presumably nobody by the name of Kennedy playing?

That Oswald is a gun, real dead eye Richard! I think Ruby can keep him quiet.

Poor taste?

Can't take a trick.

Gives McVee more of an opportunity.

I can just imagine James Brayshaw, "Bang, bang, bang".  PS Apologies in advance for the bad taste....

We are told that there was only BANG BANG on that occasion. (Warren Commission)

Hibbo, JJ (assuming the flight gets back), Dunstan, JVR, Schache, Laurie, Joel Smith and even a massive outside chance in AMW all should be desperate to push their case.

Both the young rucks being left out should give Schache and JVR opportunities to take some ruck minutes.

Would love to see JJ or Dunstan demand to get picked with a dominant midfield performance.

And I'd like to see Smith or AMW offer something dynamic up forward, even if they are unlikely to get picked. A bit of speed and tackling would be nice to see.

Tomlinson and Melksham won't play so I think the team will line up like this.

B: D.Smith, D.Turner, Adams

HB: Hibberd, Buntine, K.Turner

C: Howes, Dunstan, Laurie

HF: Moniz-Wakefield, van Rooyen, J.Smith

F: Sestan, Schache, Jefferson

FOLL: Bell, Jordon, Munro

IC: Steele, Grey, Burgoyne, Baldi, Cross

Luke Dunstan was under utilized at senior level last season IMO. Given the limited opportunities he was offered, he delivered determined consistent, honest blue collar performances. He is not afraid to get his head over the ball and plays for the team.

Given the ferocity of contest around the ball, his skills aren’t as shabby as some here would think. Get him in the engine room.

Andy Moniz-Wakefield could be anything!🤞

Not gripping, but rushing blokes back based on reputations has fallen through the floorboards again. Team performance would be better served if match ready guys had been fully rehabilitated through Casey.

This will be a huge game for Schache.  An opportunity to put himself forward in our dark hours without Max. Go Josh, grab it with both hands.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
