jacko up to 4 disposals now with a metres gained of -23

Freo unimpressive, both sides super scrappy with lots of skill errors

I think it’s safe to say that none of the teams who played today will go on to win trophies this year… unless we consider a wooden spoon a trophy.

Guess that why I haven’t noticed him.   Though it on in the background while more interesting are being done

Dorks have no choice but to have a big cleanout and play the kids 😀

Bombers will win the day but I back Mitchell to fare better than Scott in the long run.  First year taking over a big club... don't overachieve.  Rutten snuck into finals and then they expected top 4 and he was sacked. Logic doesn't come into it

Mitchell will play kids, tinker with game plans and has already traded a lot of senior players (tank). will pick up high draft picks.  when Hawks win 8-10 games next year it will be seen a success for him

Meanwhile Scott will be under pressure

Playing too many kids is fraught with danger.  Especially so these days

Need to surround kids with experienced talent. That's the tried and true method (and template)

Even the much vaunted '93 baby bombers had quite a number of experienced players in the team

So did the Hawks bring in players like Vince & Cross as we did?  Later on we brought in players with 3-5 years experience like Melksham & Hibberd, Lever etc

In fact, our recruitment of experienced talent goes a little unnoticed as compared to the gun young talent we recruited from the various draft's

7012 at GWS v Crows R1 blockbuster.

Another great AFL corporate success story.

Dont believe they have thousands of payed up members.

Bombers on top, take a photo Essendon fans

Bombers fans should enjoy what might be the high point of their season.

They've got Suns, Saints & GWS all in Melbourne coming up.

They'll be top for a while yet sadly.

So Essenscum are on top of the ladder. Vomit.

Perhaps that's good. Builds up false expectations in their fan base before they meet the Melbourne buzzsaw.

Hard to find a better snapshot of knuckleheads and halfwits.

Have they still got the same banners?

"THE WEAPON"

"I'm anti-vax but pro-unapproved peptides"

That's them. You're all over it Dub!

Hawthorn are likely bottom 2. Glad Essendon can have fun beating them.

Fremantle meanwhile struggling to deal with an injury-riddled bottom 6 St Kilda. Not a great start to their supposed “Flagmantle” season.

I'm in transit so can only take a quick glance at stats.

Q1 is Jackson playing for or ruck because he has no stats for either position.

Q2 is Fyfe okay?

I'm loving that the bombers are going to the their hopes up with a few early wins

meanwhile Freo...  must be Ross's tactics.  Check out the Saints fwd line or lack there of

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
