They could win only one of those games and I wouldn’t be shocked. Likewise they could win 5. They’re an enigma.
Hopefully with their season dead they’ll stop trying.

Your last line could be the reality.

Freo’s run home:

Collingwood at the G

Sydney in Perth

Geelong in Geelong

Lions in Perth

Eagles in Perth

Port in Perth

Hawks at the G

At worst we’re getting pick 7 at best, 4!

fantastic! we have a top 6 draft pick coming up!

no way that improve from here. all the teams around them are playing well

This is beautiful but it’s also so frustrating. That Freo loss is hurting us in so many ways, we’d be basically safe in the top four and Freo would be 15th giving us a number 4 pick!!! Argh!!

The GWS loss was way worse. But yes, winning both games would have allowed us to rest a few in the lead up to the finals, now we're clinging onto a top 4 spot.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles beat them in a few weeks. They have no heart.

Oh how I will laugh

But West Coast are not an AFL team. They’re an absolute disgrace. They won’t win another game.

Freo was always going to Freo this up, but to do it with Carlton as the antagonist?? With the writers on strike right now it’s as good a plot to a movie as any…

If AI wrote that not only did Freo lose at home to put themselves in the bottom 5, but they did it to Carlton AND by ten goals… if AI wrote that you would be like ‘what is this stilted, tired, fantastical nonsense…’

Hawks beat the Saints and Hawks. After tonight will be 3.5 games behind Carlton, I think they’re a massive chance come rd 23 as a win won’t affect their draft pick.

Hard to see Justin 'Smiley' Longmuir being there next year. What odds Hardwick ends up there instead of GC.

Great result for us, and Jackson had minimal impact for the Dockers. Carlton looked pretty slick though and we still have to face them in what could be a key game for both teams.

With Tasmania looming, the next draft could be crucial, so getting three picks inside the top 30 of a so-called super-draft would see us coming out on the credit side of the Jackson deal if our recruiters get it right (as they mostly have done in recent years).

Jackson was very dominant in the last two minutes of the game

Feel for Jackson TBH, the kid seems to be on a hiding to nothing.

They should just fold Freo and WCE together…

Ha ha   Their fans could boo boo boo every play, whether it were a Fremantle Eagles player or an opponent from the far side of the country.

”I can’t believe we lost to this mob!”

I can’t believe ppl are still saying “I can't believe we lost to this mob!”

*sigh* Once again…

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
