With the work being done at Casy to the changerooms etc, are they allowed to train there ATM?

If no, then they will have to train at Gosh's, which could mean more training reports this year.

And if so LESS training reports from yours Truly!

just looked,  what a fantastic opportunity for the new tall bloke,  Kyah Farris-White   to learn from Gawn and Grundy.   Hell,  he might not play for 2 years then be the main man for 8.  Go dees

Josh Schache is looking fairly bulked up which had really taken me by surprise.

Just shows he's done thr work and is desperate to get his career off and running.

Grundy in 6, Hunter 12 and Schache 19.

AMW and Smith running reps, Grundy, Fritta and TMac all doing drills with running interspersed.  Tmac looked totally unhindered and was doing the warmup kicking drills.

I didn't see Harmes, Lever, Brayshaw, Gawn, Oliver, Lingers, Melk, Tomlinson, Dunstan, ANB, Petty, Brown and Smith.  I didn't see Taj either but he may have been there.

Usual warmups, then ball movement drills on 3/4 ground.  Had to leave earlier than expected unfortunately so that's about all I saw.  Spoke to AMW very briefly and he said he'd added 8 kilos and was 182 but still growing.  He's got an infectious smile and personality. Hoping for really big things from him.

What number was Farris-White?

Has Bowser put on a bit of muscle in his arms? Looks stronger.

I thought the same thing.

For a tiny clip up there Grundy looked like he was moving well.

47.  Grundy looked very good.

From today’s Herald Sun report:-

HOWES THAT

YOUNGSTER Blake Howes earned the plaudits of senior Demons by laying a crunching tackle on Christian Petracca after an attempted fend-off during match simulation. Howes, pick 39 in last year’s draft, wrapped the star midfielder up before dragging him down to the applause of his teammates. Even Petracca was happy with the effort, rising to his feet to tap Howes on the back.

Alright, I’ve seen enough, and am gonna put it out there. Kyah Farris-White is going to be a star for the Dees! He will be the random gun recruit of his generation.

And I can perhaps take the credit for being the first (possibly of many) to spell his name incorrectly on Demonland. (I wrote Faris-White). Apologies to the young man.

Come on Webber - you are seriously underrating him.   KFW  will surely squeeze out Max or Brodie by mid season 🤗🤗🙄

Love the Preseason Training portion of the Demonland Season.

Thank you in advance to all you fabulous track watchers from all of the desk bound or interstaters.

What ever training he did in the states, you can see it in his shoulders, he is not skinny in the traditional sense of being weak, looks like he already has some ‘density’ to his muscle mass and looks like he knows/embraces physical contact. Quite keen to see what his kicking looks like and handball, disposal will be his kryptonite I think.

All the senior boys don’t have to be back until next Monday. 1-4 years the only lads required to train today but others can join in if they want to. Gawn and Lever are in Canada right now! Sneaky word is JVR will be in the number 2 next season.

😉😉

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
