Probably already been posted but Kevin Sheehan link to Draft possible Rucks/Forwards.

Kevin Sheehan’s 2022 NAB AFL Draft Top Prospects – Tall Forwards/Rucks

Great draft hand next year. Two firsts and 2 seconds. Likely will try to trade up further.

Likely a tall Ruck/Forward this year and next year. TMc, B Brown, Gawn all around 30 plus.

Sure to get Kynan Brown as a F/S mid next year as well.

Surely we wont be drafting this guy:

Thomas Scully
State: South Australia
State League Club: West Adelaide
Community Club: Lockleys
Date of Birth: 02/11/04; Height: 203cm; Weight: 89kg

A tall forward who had a wonderful start to the 2022 season, with his overhead marking and accuracy around goals earning him a call up to AFL Academy team that represented Australia. He showed glimpses of his sizable potential up forward as a marking target during that match against Collingwood’s VFL side in May. He booted 50 goals in 14 matches for West Adelaide in the SANFL under-18s, as well as playing one game for South Australia at the 2022 NAB AFL National Championships U18 Boys

From Cal Twomey's phantom the only 2 tall forwards/ruck we could access at around pick 13 would be Jefferson (pick 10) and Keller (pick27).

Should be a few of KPFs around pick 37. Lions have picks just before ours which will be used on their F/S bids.  So we will come in a few picks.

No doubt JT and team have their eye on a few. May surprise us and pick a mid???

I'd like to get Oliver Hollands with our first pick. He won the draft combine time trial with a 2km run in 5 minutes 54 seconds and who knows in a few years time we might be able to lure his brother Elijah back to Victoria to play with his bro. With our second, if any are still available I'd try to get Keeler (ruck/forward), Barnett (ruck) or Verral (ruck/forward).

Now that we have Schache and JVR developing nicely, we don't have an immediate need to get a KPF this year and I just don't trust Jefferson at this stage, he may be a good player in time but I find skinny tall forwards are just serviceable ala Mitch Brown and Watts who were both first round draft picks... but who knows maybe he could be a Gunston.

Actually looks like the perfect target with pick 37! He's shown a lot and looks more likely than some other higher fancied tall forward names IMO.

Unfortunate name

Schach Attack?

We’ve got someone getting ready to sew a new mini-banner for the cheer squad already with this exact same wording! She misspelled Schache just as you’ve done so I pointed it out telling her that after all, we don’t wanna be confused with the Coll or Ess cheer squads. 😁

Jefferson, Phillipou, Hustwaite or Hotton plz. May be a bit too early pick wise for Hotton but he will be good.

It’s a shortening to make it rhyme. Not a misspelling. Schache Attack doesn’t make any sense. Schache Attacky seems too gimmicky. But you might want to hold off just in case we go with Schache down backy or unless it’s a Casey banner

"We were going go to make a banner that rhymes with Schache,

but decided, upon reflection, that it would be just too tacky."

This quote is from…????

Coz we’re defs making one. 😁 Tacky or not. I thought Fritsch Blitz was tacky until I befriended Fritta’s mum. And she loves that banner so I’m not saying [censored]. 😁

From a kennel to a home,

Schache is now happy.

Someone just suggested “Shaq Attack” 😳 Hopefully they’re kidding.

I’m sure you’re joking but we aren’t changing our draft plans based on Le Shach! I have no issues drafting skinny talls, but if you’re skinny you need to be a special athlete and I’m not sure Jefferson has the speed, height or leap to make up for a thin frame.

Schache definitely isn't the answer to our forward woes, he's just a stopgap solution while we chase a gun forward in the draft or as GNF mentioned we are hunting Mitch Georgiades. But i agree with you on Jefferson, if he has all the tricks to be a gun forward then sure we should go after him but if we have doubts about him then I think we should get best available mid at 13 which looks to be Hollands.

pick 37 will come in slightly you would think as peptides (pick 22) and bears (picks 34-36 inclusive) will all be used up on father-son points

not sure of any academy selection likelihoods

Any chance we package up some future picks to have a crack at the bombers pick 4? I thought I heard it was on the table?

Essendon said they’d consider moving it but don’t want to go too far down the order.

Which is pretty much what every club says every year.

We’d have to make them a crazy offer to go down to 13. I’d be shocked if they moved below 7 and likely not at all

I’d be going the Love Schache route.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
