Turning up to the Bluey with @WalkingCivilWarwould be like Charles rolling up to the Opera House with Dianna - Charles who?

Unfortunately Less Diana, more Camilla. 🙁

PS: I’m just glad no one has said ‘who’s gonna take Bluey home tomorrow night?’ since that was my nickname for years and the only one taking me home tomorrow night will be the cabbie. 😁

For those interested, some B&F History

Clayton.

The bigger question is - will he feel the need to apologise for a "sh$t speech" again, or has he been working on his presentation?

The other awards are more interesting and the top 10. Difficult to pick. Definitely interesting to see who the football department thought were in that top 10.

Oliver surely.

I also think of Langdon being in the top 5.

I thought Langdon was pretty average after the first 8-9 games. If be surprised if he is top 5

My picks are:-

Clayton Oliver

Christian Petracca

Stephen May

Angus Brayshaw

Jack Viney / Max Gawn ( hampered by injury)

Harrison Petty / Bayley Fritsch / Kozzie Pickett

Jayden Hunt

Then :-

LJ

Ed Langdon (great until injured)

James Harmes ( solid all year)

Injury / Covid effected a number of our good players.😪😢

Pretty sure there’s a best first year player. Has to be Disco if so. Field of one?

Pity it isn't live streamed.

WCW, I am concerned about you being there. We might have to call the Fire Brigade to dous your flames! Maybe myself and Uncle Bitter could be called on to chaperone you to ensure some propriety! 😇👨‍🚒🌅🔥

I can't say I've ever heard the word "propriety" mentioned in the same sentence as Uncle Bitters!

Clayton to become part of a very select few to have won 4 MFC B&Fs.

Hopefully Gus gets rewarded for his good year with a top 5 finish. Would personally have it as Clarry, Trac, Gus but Viney will probably sneak in there

wander if Jackson will be there, i hope so

Not the right forum I know but Jayden will sign with the Eagles this weekend. I know mentioned elsewhere. Four clubs approached his manager.

Does Goody do the entirety of the voting? Predictions if so:

1. Viney
2. Melksham
3. Sparrow
4. ANB
5. Hibberd

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
