Out coached and that’s all there is to say. Watching it live, every avenue we go down that usually works is met with Swan pressure.

We’ve been beaten in the coaches box.

Better in every facet of the game, the Swans. We are their bunnies, only way to put it.

coaching... gameplan

Disappointing but don't give up the season. Richmond lost the Qf in 2020 and won the flag.

Sparrow going up to spoil Jsckson who's going up for a contested mark sums up our night.

That nonsense started early

Yeah he's off this year completely.

Bowey would have done more all game.

This was a [censored] poor performance tonight, really disappointed

Tmac in. Melk logically out. Argument can be made for Brown, maybe.
Bowey in. Salem out.

My biggest worry is we haven't played well on our home ground for most of the year.

Get him in next week Tmac we need structure.

Melk out done, 2 shots on goal 45 degree angle shots crapped the bed our forward line is a mess.

Yea fooled us all by playing 2 great games out of the last ordinary 2 years.

But sadly nobody to swap him with.

To think some were worried about Franklin

May did a brillant job on him.

we can't buy goal!

Such a dumb move to drop Bowey for Salem. Neal Bullen could not possibly play again next week, surely? Worst player on the ground all night.

Trac injured from Franklin tackle.

Outmuscled and got sucked into crap they didn't need to get involved in (May, Harmes)

Well I guess that's why we worked so hard to get the double chance.

We didnt look right from the start.

Way too many passengers tonight.

Hats off to Oliver and the backline. Great game from them.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
