Was the most stupid and funniest movie of that year. Had a certain Mel Brooke's feel about it.

Hibbo is a massive loss if he doesn’t get up. A perfect match up for Papley.

He will be fine. One tough hog.

Coach:  "I want guts today, boys.  Show me what you've got in yas!"

As long as it's only guts coming out from the lads.

i do hope hibberd is not making a pig of himself 🐷

I’ve read conflicting reports on Hibberd. Cleary is saying he had gastro symptoms, however the Fox Sports person reported that he’s just under the weather and The Age has said he’s unwell but not actually gastro.

I’d be testing Goodys food. He enjoys dodgy fish around finals time and needs to learn to fully cook his chicken.  Did he have Hibbo over for a meal!

If we can’t beat the Swans without Hibberd we aren’t winning the Premiership.

Have to agree with this.

If we can't win without our 16-23rd best player, it's not going to be a very enjoyable September.

He will be missed though if he's out, or off his tucker if selected.

I guess one good thing may have come from Covid 🇨🇳🦠 and that is they don’t share water bottles or at least squirt them rather than put their lips to them.
Hopefully they haven’t shared bottles or glasses etc

I will have Gastro Saturday morning after a few frothies

The severity of which will depend upon the scoreboard.

I reckon Hibberd will fine.

Gotta catch a break ( figuratively speaking of course) with our backline eventually.

It's never just one bloke, about a billion times more contagious than Covid, please hook him up to an IV, it's the lack of fluids that flattens you.

just mind games to confuse swans

I'd reckon that there are a few of these mind games circulating between and across the Demons and the Swans. Sides selected tonight from which some second-thinking may be clarified. Those secrets and innuendos are difficult to ascertain, so we have to wait until Friday night, I guess.

Maybe he’s just sick of the standard of journalism in this country?

He's possibly preparing the alimentary canal for a great opportunity upon his opponent Friday night.

Running 12-15 Ks in an AFL game the day after copping a bout of gastro can't be great preparation.

Thankfully not wearing the away shorts tomorrow

No Hibbo wasn't there. It was roast pork apparently, and he declined the invitation stating it would be too cannibalistic.

Word has it Scomo "cooked" him a chicken curry last night

My big problem with this story is has Goodwin peaked early this year.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
