um, is everyone else's ticked $193? I am going to baulk at that price

The cheapest i have found is $163. Is this the same as general public tickets when they go on sale?

I thought week 2 was same price as week 1?

Also I roped my husband to attend and he has only ever seen us lose live once. You're welcome everyone!

Took 30 mins but finally got tickets. Not exactly where I wanted, but M51 is ok.

Beats me as to why they put the Fri and Sat games online at the same time. It just make the so called 'queue' messier

30 mins on hold - absolute joke

Tickets in N55 just in from of Jim styles room. Can't complain about the seats.

yeah, not sure, I tried each category and that was the price. I wasn't expecting the price to double from last week to this week.

Maybe I should give it a miss anyway, I have been to three losses on the trot, I am starting to think that I m a jinx

My MFCSS tells me he’s probably due then.

No $93 for premium level 1 tickets in M50

$193 doesn't sound right. I paid $472 for 5 adults.

yeah thanks, Ill try again, maybe I selected the wrong tab somewhere along the line

Finally in and have a ticket in M14 row R.

Looks ok,

Glad it worked out better this time!

something fishy. enter premium member and only got offered M50 to M54 not under cover

at the start it asks for a "password" no mention of barcode. Turns out barcode=password but how would someone not used to ticketek's little intricacies work that out?

Great work, old dee. I have a feeling your persistence is a good omen 🍀

If my ticket says gate 1.

Will I be able to get in gate 4?

I just want to stand in M9.

There's little incentive for them to improve the system when they have a monopoly over the MCG

I have been to a lot of Melbourne Final over my lifetime. I have never been to one where they have lost. The fact that I could not get a ticket last week and can not get on this week has me worried.

Take two, absolute crap once again.  Tried to get level  2 seats (via premium members) and got allocated tickets on the terrace. Exactly where I did not want to sit.

Eventually (via  general members) I managed to get tickets in Shane Warne stand level 4 , 10 rows back (that is after the system trying to shunt me down to the terrace!).
I like a tv view of the game so the seats I got will do.
What really does my head in is why bother giving an option to try to select a location (where it states seats are available) to be then shunted elsewhere! Absolute effing joke. It’s a bloody lottery

I reckon it would have been quicker than this in 1975 to get tickets by driving to your local ticket agent. Third world system.

OK so I finally got in. On the browser not the phone this time and got the same seats as last week.

If you select Premium Member Allocation you can choose the bays. I chose M50 as this is our regular bay and it gave me 5 seats together which is a miracle I will take.

I got in finally as well and got seats in M50. Are they decent seats Jaded? Also, I chose to get my tickets via sms, but nada.

I got mine by sms last week.  Just copy them as photos to your phone as a backup

You can still do that! Via any ticketek agency

You are spot on. Online should work seamlessly, that they release the only two games to be played at the same time defies logic

I’m pretty sure you can enter through gate four and walk around to your section once you’re inside.

You got them from the club, My wife and her mother used to sleep out at the ground to be early in the queue.

At least at Melbourne you were allowed into the old Olympic stand underneath. Believe me was no picnic.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
