Skills not the best thus far

Game slowly swinging into a defensive battle which suits Carlton. If they start marking inside 50 (and converting, unlike Curnow  just now) it should become a closer tussle.

What we need from the Saints is a bit of personal pride in performance, Hawks nothing to play for but had a crack. Unfortunately you can never rely on an opposition side so we'll see what happens

I reckon I saw that Carlton "Get F@#$%d" female fan from last week having more to say.

She's probably been hanging around the odd Collingwood cheer squad member expanding her lexicon of lewd language.

Curnow looks like a deer in the headlights

luckiky they gave MacKay with a solid head on him

Seems that blowouts have been the order of the weekend. Hopefully Saints can keep it close if not put on a decent score themselves.

Those last few entries by Blues were bomb and hope. Reminded me of Dees a few week ago. No point getting 50s aka Lions and doing that

Ginnivan is a great character for the game

he can kick a goal too!

Thats a fair goal by Johnson

Cripps is burning his team mates and needs to give off, handball, and stop trying to beat 3 tackles.

Ginnivan is a duck master, but the boy can play. And he is a beautiful kick.

The big stage is defeating the Blues. Shaky all over the ground.

you get paid for this commentary yeah?  It was offline the whole way

Gotta love him for his inane remarks .

I was particularly impressed with one of  his comments during the gf last year....

"And the Melbourne fans are going....."

That was it ......VERBATIM.

That was his complete comment .

He didn't even bother to  finish it with at least a 3 letter word like..nuts...off...mad.

It was all too much for him.

I wonder how much they pay him because my Spoodle has a fair bit of time on her hands.

Edited by leave it to deever

Let's go Aints!

Man I'm sick of barracking for these guys to get a result.

Carlton lack composure. They were well on top this quarter but 2 sucker punch goals from the pies have them back in the driving seat

Mason Cox just ups his unlikeability factor with every contest he is in.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
