The dogs are an embarrassment

Walsh out is a blow but he did nothing last week anyway. Lets just hope the hawks can beat dogs as I think Carlton played their final last week. I hate to say it but the filth will probably win. Unlike others I would like to play the filth first up and to give those low life amoebas a good thrashing.

Almost every dees defender has put in some spud games this year but would you drop lever ? Impossible. Its a tough competition.

Walsh out would be a huge loss for the baggers.

They beat us. They’re a glass cannon, their best is very very good, their worst is very very bad.

He's a big boy young Sam Darcy. when he fills out he'll be a serious unit to handle

Sorry a bit off topic but arises out of the dogs hawks match.  An example of the AFL not thinking clearly about the rules they come up with.
A player is on the ground and an opponent pushes the ball under him hoping to get a holding the ball free for pulling it in. The umpire tells them he is not paying the free.  Quite right. But why not penalise the player who pushed it under?  The “pulled the ball” in rule was instituted to stop players holding up play. Whether you pull or push the effect is to do just that. So it should be a free against whoever did the action to hold up play.  Why not?

I’ve often thought this

This is why I wouldn't be putting the house on Geelong to win the flag just yet.

In 2022, Geelong played against teams in the current top 8 only 7 times. They haven’t played a current top 8 side twice. They also haven’t played a current top 8 side for 5 weeks and they’ve played West Coast and North twice.

Melbourne have played against current top 8 sides 10 times this year. We’ve played Freo, Collingwood and Brisbane twice, and only played West Coast and North once.

They also have poor final performances in the back of their heads.

We go in as the "invincibles".

Hoping we maintain that confidence.

I thought Kent was to play his 100th and last game? He is named as emergency.

surely they wouldn’t insult him by having him as sub for a fake ‘game’

Would like to see him get a run late in the game and nail a couple of goals, that effect the percentage enough so we end up 2nd.

Addit: have the med subs been named yet?

Dermie really is a bumbling [censored]… I don’t know what fox is thinking having him calling games

I hate Hawthorn and the Dogs, hope Hawthorn wins because the Dogs have more to lose.

There's been more  "in swing" and "out swing" today than during a test match.

Dogs need around two more goals to edge the blues out of finals

they have the breeze in the last so should get it done

Time for Cripps & Curnow to earn their 💰💰

Want Dogs to win so then Baggers will need to go all out and with pies also needing a win to stay in 4 it could be on for young and old.

One can only assume, despite his so called 'name', he's cheap.

why is it that a player can be out of bounds and play on while out of bounds and it not be called out of bounds? Sidebottom moved off his mark while out over the boundary, seen other players play on by running outside the boundary line before kicking. am i missing something

The Demons are back on the road again for the third time this season when they take on the red hot ladder leaders the Sydney Swans at the SCG. Can the Demons take another big scalp? Who comes in and who goes out?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
