What's next for Adem Yze?

I know yze wants to coach his own team but I really didn't want him going to Essendon. For a few reasons.

1 I didn't want him turning that club into a successful one

2 I still want to see Essendon fail so that would mean wanting to see yze fail and I really didn't want that

3 I didn't want him to get the Ben Rutten treatment & having all the supporters bagging him & Essendon treating him like [censored]

Essendrug is not the Place for a first time Coach. Not even Worsfold could make any difference!!

Yze will get his chance in good time. I am sure he enjoys being home in the meantime.

I'm so glad for the Brad Scott news;

First, it basically ensures Essendon won't really go anywhere.

Second, since I don't like Brad Scott, I won't have to feel bad when the Bomber 'faithful' start papercutting him to death for not turning the club around by next tuesday and also not being James Hird.

Third, the overlap of the combined umpire-decision-reaction-faces from Essendon supporters and from Brad Scott will likely create sonic-boom like waves.

Fourth, as well as wanting to hold onto him, I am just relieved for Adem Yze because being a new first-time coach at Essendon in 2023 would have been a deplorable experience.

The only downside is that now the AFLHQ has to pick another clown who wants to prove their can do credentials by implementing a bunch of daft proposals. Reminds me of the public service stories about Heads of Deptartment in the smaller states - they are there to add things to their resume, no matter how dumb and discredited the initiative, with the sole purpose of smoothing their promotion to a bigger department in a bigger state or at Federal level. True story - this is why the ACT's education system is a mess despite appearing to have absolutely every circumstance working in its favour. There you go, football mirrors government again.

I've told you who the source was for this mate. Doesn't come much better than that.

Nice troll bump though.

No trolling mate.. just having a bit of fun.

Went from being done deal at GWS to then agreeing to terms and then completely missing out on the job.

Poor Ooze must have been confused and frustrated with the process..?

The thing that tipped Brad's ego over the edge now is Chris' success. Chris Scott is now approaching Hardwick, Clarkson (pending investigation) type status and I am sure there is a bit of jealousy there... sibling and twins rivalry

Adem Yze may end up the perennial bridesmaid ala Brian Royal, R Harvey haha, although his skill set is much different...

Hope he can spend another few years learning from / helping Goody.

Worst case scenario for us is:

Yze misses the Bombers job.

A few months are needed for the Hawks racism investigation and the Kangas end up sacking Clarko early next year.

Then Yze gets that job as the best available option.. leaving us without a senior assistant right before the season starts.

Hmmm… this is a fair point. I wonder if Melbourne’s contract with him protects against mid-yr departures

Don’t know how Dazzle is the one trolling here. You posted Yze was off to GWS then a “done deal” at Essendon..

No, never said anything about Yze being a done deal at Essendon.

You're that quick to trip over yourself trying to have a crack at me though. Might be time to move on from that champ, grow up a little bit maybe, or even just stick to the jokes.

Cheers.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
