And even then we were found not guilty of tanking but guilty of acting in bad spirit of the game. She should probably get those facts right.

Agree.

If I recall correctly, Demetriou said there was no such thing as tanking, as the Coach wasn't telling players to go out and lose.

Then in a great piece of comedy, Gil said he didn't even know what tanking was.

Andersen stuffed this up, trying to be too smart and then lost his job, soon after a furious Demetriou returned from his holiday.

did you mean eyes wide open blind?

demetriou was its greatest defender but caught with his pants down when he went to the tennis at wimbeldon

Since bringing up the topic of Uncle Bitter's camp for masculinity, the nature of your verbiage is taking on a distinctly S&M flavor (i.e. dropping Eyes Wide Shut references). Should I be worrying about you, Daisy?

I'm not sure that last sentence resembled English

That’s a bit different to the formal defensive self-entitled AFL statement…

Haha can't believe I had forgotten about that, thnaks for the reminder!!! Surely this is on Youtube somewhere??

It's on the Adelaide official YouTube channel for.... unclear reasons.

Still 1% upset we didn't win by the ton.

I think his first words after the silent death stare where, I'm  great father, husband , FU mfer's, I'm gonna cup your sacks after the game

I'm pretty shocked that people in this thread aren't more up in arms about this and some are even suggesting it's a hoax. There should be serious ramifications on this and the people responsible should serve jail time. It is beyond unacceptable what they put these players through and they have to live with it. For shame.

The ex Crows Chairman , Rob Chapman, should take a long hard look at himself.

He denied in a public statement, everything we have heard about the camp and basically had a go at anyone complaining.

He would have spoken to the FD before his statement, made some time after the issue blew up. He was aware of the allegations and what went on. He showed no care for his players at all.

Mark Riccuto is not far behind him.

Jail time?

Can you explain that please?

Borderline psychos play-acting at being commandos. What could go wrong? And the club wilfully put their playing list at the mercy of these cowboys. Great God.

This is some serious Lord of the Flies cult garbage. It gets worse every time you hear about it.

Love-bombing alternating with denigration. Classic technique of cults and sociopaths.

On the school run this arvo so caught the Jenkins speech on SEN. Wow. If there's anyone still at the club who were involved in the decision making around that camp i reckon they'll be gone before the weekend is over.

And told them to remain silent!!!

I would be taking a class action against these cowboys

This Jenkins interview is bloody damning.
I wonder if all this stuff about Don Pyke is why Buddy is leaving

Every dog on the street knew that this camp was toxic. I'm amazed it has taken this long for someone to publically speak out

Credit to Jenkins for having the courage to speak up. I believe most of the Crows board/football staff have moved on since 2018 with the exception of Rucciuto.

Pyke didn't show good judgement or leadership. He either thought what was happening was ok which is a worry or wasn't strong enough to stand up and say what was happening isn't right. As the coach he is the most senior figure that the playing list, young men look up to, he failed them

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
