Making Don Pyke lose his mind and walk around silently eyeballing players is one of the great, underrated MFC highlights.

Haha can't believe I had forgotten about that, thnaks for the reminder!!! Surely this is on Youtube somewhere??

Imagine having Mark Riccuito as a Senior Board Member

Eddie should have sorted him out in the Carpark.
The people responsible for framing the Template for this “Camp” should be charged and put in jail.
The fact that this occurred 5 years ago and people within the AFL bubble still hold jobs from that time is an absolute f@&$ing disgrace

Absolutely I listened to the Sam Edmond Interview about an hour ago. It was absolutely shocking.
The People who abused Eddie as “part of the camp” should be arrested

That [censored] has nothing to do with leadership

How Mark Ricciuto hasn't been asked to move on is beyond me.

He seems like an amateur hour operator selected from the bowels of the boys club.

I believe he was also trying to get in Goody's ear at the last minute in 2014 when it was clear as day that he had signed with us. Why would Goody want to get involved with a ramshackle joint like that?

Then again, Goody might have temporarily gotten Stockholm Syndrome from the time he spent at Adelaide if that military style camp he took us on in 2017 is any indication.

Rory Sloane said that camp made him a better husband and father.

It's interesting that the line 'better husband and father' is the line that (reportedly) the camp made the players role play when asked about what happened at the camp

Gill should step down over this

i am sure the AFL or AFLPA had to give some sort of approval for this “camp”

Walk away Gill your legacy isn’t that great even though the Media fawn all over you

They still want their accreditation or in effect they are "blacklisted".

When they undertake "counselling" sessions and then break the confidentiality by using someones most personal thoughts and feelings against them in front of their teammates as a form of abusing them to teach them "resilience" I'd say that crosses the line. Absolute wankers who think they know what they're doing but have no idea.

You wonder how anyone with a background in psychology, which you would hope someone from that organisation had, could draw up a program like this. We know a bit about things like trauma now and this was a recipe for exactly that.

So Rory Sloane said that camp made him a better husband and father. I guess everyone took a different experience out of it.

Lol. Eddie says that was the rehearsed line they fed them.

Different experiences indeed.

One person has shown leadership on this.

surprised they haven’t been sued yet

Workspace cleared the crows for any workplace wrongdoing, does that mean the company that ran the camp can’t be sued?

What a [censored] show of a camp. Sad thing is I think alot of clubs may have done or considered similar sorts of initiatives over the journey all in the name of getting a competitive edge. No doubt the Crows camp seems to be worse than others in this space though. I'm just glad the contributors on this site are largely mature enough to be disgusted and aren't potting Betts for being honest about his experience.

There are the camps of the ilk "whatever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger, but by god we're going to have a good crack at the first bit". That's the kind of camp our boys arced up about, as at the previous camp Dom Tyson had a backpack full of bricks fall on his head (or something like that). Faux SAS/marines stuff.

Then there are camps all about psychological trauma, like this Crows one. Of course a boofhead like Tex wouldn't recognise it as any different from a good boys weekend at the camp site, minus the fishing rods and eskies of booze.

If you didn’t read this when Mazer posted it, you really should now. It’s outrageous! How these camps are allowed to go ahead is inexplicable.

The camp described herein sounds way worse than what the Crows players endured, unless Eddie omitted the bit where a group of naked, blindfolded men held hands while verbally abusing one another, with the objective of reclaiming their manliness.

The interview with Betts on AFL 360 is in incredibly to watch.

The bloke was in complete distress after the camp to the point where he went straight to the AFL immediately afterwards and voiced his concerns and yet the AFL did nothing about it.

The AFL now release a statement today acknowledging the pain that was caused. What the actual [censored]? They acknowledge it after the truth is released?

Disgusting from Gil.

Leading from behind as usual.

They were all for marriage equality when enough of corporate Australia decided they wanted to expand their customer base.

They were offering unconditional apologies to Adam Goodes but only after The Final Quarter exposed the venom he was subject to.

Doesn’t surprise me that the AFL stonewalled this. It’s their MO.

As board member and from some of his past comments it appears he has some responsibility to how this debacle eventuated. Perhaps he’s one that should ‘move on’ as well.

Moved on? He should be removed more like it.

The use of psychologist is a protected title - much like a Dr. and is illegal to use it if you are not accredited.

Unfortunately you can't stop people using language such as - 'studied psychology'(could be a 1 semester subject vs a 6 year process) or 'have a background in psychology' , or 'mind-coach' as part of their spiel.

Further you can complete a Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, and still not be accredited by the Psychology Board of Australia/Australian Health Practitioners Regulation agency.... which doesn't cover people who claim to be mind-coaches, life coaches or counselors.

They were not psychologists.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
