I won’t be expecting the usual brilliance from Clarry. I wonder if he’ll be heavily strapped?

His hand will be strapped, he will have a few pain numbing injections and he won't feel a thing when he has his usual quota of handballs.😐

Some good forwards in that side, that number 24 turned into a bit of a t0sser

Business end of the season now, if we are serious and want to defend the title, we need to start ramping up and building form and momentum. If we lose tonight, I dont think the boys are hungry enough. Form from here is a non-negotiable. Have Geelong peaked too early, I hope so.

The premiership cup spent the morning at an Auskick in the heart of Doggies territory, Seddon.

All the kids in Dees jumpers also linked arms and sang Freed From Desire. I’m calling it an omen.

If this is a joke  - its brilliant.

If its true - then also brilliant. Thanks

Have some form, but not too much form?

I feel like the average  punters version is this.

How to quantify whether your team has the precise amount of form.

1)Don't lose.

2) Don't win by under 3 goals, as that represents you're team isn't quite good enough

3) Don't win by over 8 goals, otherwise it's just a glorified training match, and you haven't had enough of a hit out.

4) If you do win between 5 and 8 goals, don't do that too many times consecutively, otherwise it will represent that you don't have form because you don't have the 'foot on the throat'.

5)  Don't win too many in a row (above 5) as that means you're getting closer to a loss.

Have I hit on all the myths?

Oliver will no doubt be targeted on the hand but he'll be so quick they won't have a chance.

Well I want a win. My mum suddenly left this earth last weekend, thankfully she saw the port win but it hasn't been a great week.

Without BBB I'll be interested to see our forward line functioning & Fritta if there is a better option for god sake give it off.

Let's hope it's the distance measuring  maggots in yellow today, and the push in the back maggots and the kicking in danger maggots, and the  talking back to maggots maggots and the interference at the ruck and marking type maggots.

In other words a couple of GF maggots would be good.

So sorry for your loss, dees. 💕

Win or lose today, hope you’re doing well. ❤️💙

Feels like a real old school game day for me, which works for retro round.

On the train to West footscray to see the dees against Footscray at whitten oval.

2.05pm Saturday arvo start.

Drizzly old school Melbourne weather.

Memories of being at the same ground in the final round of the 1987 season.

Do it for Robbie.

What a win.

Go redlegs.

Relieved (and happily surprised)  to say I made it back, apart from a few “lost days”, relatively unscathed from Bangkok.

I spent  a fascinating few days there, watching @Sir Why You Little ( the Buddha of Soi 4) hold court under the verandah of a local hotel, surrounded by his adoring acolytes. All the while wearing a premiership jumper and swilling whisky!

His acolytes BTW are best described as a ‘colourful” group possibly sharing ….err…. err ….well … let’s say common pursuits.

Now to avoid possible lawsuits , I’d best get to the footy.

We must win - simple as that.

Weid gets another chance - good luck to him. Milkshake also has a chance to cement his place, so he will be desperate .

Expect Clarrie to run through brick walls. Another blinder from Kozzie  would be handy.

Dees by 29 points.

Goodmorning Uncle, yes it was truly marvelous to meet you,  in person. To see the way you entertained and were happy to throw the odd Baht around, to those less fortunate than ourselves. There is genuine remorse still permeating the entire Nana Precinct.

Out of you two, I can’t work out who’s more full of [censored]. So it looks like it’s another draw. (Two in 24 hours!)

We are going to get a bit of reality check tonight I think.

Not sure where everyone is getting their confidence from but we have played 1 great game in 7 weeks against the Lions and patches of ok against the Crows and Power.

Pressure and clearance has been our vulnerability, and these are the two things you need to beat the Doggies.

I hope the boys watched the Tigers last night, because that was an epic display of effort and pressure.

Haha I'm sure there is more.

I'd just like to see team defence, 1percenters and mate-ship on field, taking the game on, run-run-run, switching play across half back, lowering the eyes and getting some forward connection, building each week. some of those things have definitely dropped off, whether coaching or confidence, but now is the time to shine.

I'm nervous, but I have faith.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
