How Melksham keeps his place and not Tomlinson ( Who was in my best) Totally is mystifying and disappointing!

No Rooter, no Tomlinson and Petty to defence instead of fwd

Goodwin out

You weren't involved in Norm Smith's sacking were you?

Wouldn’t shock me, given your penchant for criticising the coach that only last year ended a 57 year premiership drought - and the Norm Smith curse.

It was the 60 year rebuild we needed

If that doesn’t make Tommo look for another club nothing will. Played very well last week. There are just better players

Fairly predictable team I guess, but Tommo is very unlucky imo. Maybe he will be medi-sub, or possibly replace Rick Lever, if he fails a late test before the game.

Not sure why people have an issue with Tommo out. He played very well last week but Petty is an upgrade no matter what way you look at it.

Melksham couple of great tackles and involved a couple of goals. Offers more than Bedford has the last few weeks. Petty is a better player than thommo it's pretty straight forward

I actually think we're a better chance to beat the Dogs at Marvel than at the G. Smaller ground makes it easier to apply forward pressure. If it was at the G and we didn't include another tall forward, I'd back the Dogs.

Melksham to tag Bailey Dale.

The ins that I thought. Still think Tommo will be sub and Bedford will play a half for Casey and then be used as emergency. Time for Jacko to step up at CHF You want the big money time to step up Dogga.

Can't see any bolstering of the forward line

Disappointing

We have no replacement for Tmac and it has been shown since his loss that we are struggling for a taller player to take marks. Last week Tomlinson played well and deserved his spot this week. Why not play Petty in the forward line where he has shown on a few occasions he can mark and kick goals. Surely it is worth a trial. We have one key forward  in Brown then no one else. Why not try a player who can mark and kick accurately?

Daniel is a big out he always kills us.

Really feel for Tomlinson. Thought he was finally showing some great form. Maybe Lever is a late out tho and Tomlinson will come straight back in.

Also harsh on Toby. Melksham must be doing something that I can’t see.

It’s an interesting one. I thought our forward line looked quite different last week. Melksham held space differently and we looked to get them out the back more often. I think it’ll be good to get a proper look at it at Marvel. No disrespect to Alice but it was a very difficult game to figure out structurally due to the low camera angles.

Love seeing Oliver and Petty back. We aren’t far off our best side - still just trying to figure out our forward game.

It’s secret, so secret the players are like you and I THBT they don’t know either. We are currently so easy to work out. Kicking in is  the same ever game and our one KPF is not in his best form and there is no one else. It is very easy to defend, the opposing can double team Brown and concentrate players to the left flank at kick ins and  negate our marking and clearance ability with impurity.    We won last week due to an unbelievable effort by one player.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
