Coupla things.

1. Why would we help Collingwood relieve salary cap space?
Keep the pressure up both on field and off.
They wanna give De Goey 3.2M or whatever ... Just let 'em keep digging.

2. Haven't heard a peep from either Jackson or Grundy.
These media parasites with nothing better to do than make sheet up seem to think they're league wide list managers.

I wasn't suggesting we help Collingwood god forbid! I was suggesting the Pies want his salary gone so they can fling money at others. This means they will deal with whoever wants to give him a home.

Yep. Otherwise, on that basis, half the threads on here wouldn’t exist! 😂

90% I think would be closer.

No-one is gonna file any lawsuit over a random post on some random forum with limited views.
An expensive exercise in futility.

My mail says this is a done deal. Club made the final presentation to Grundy’s mum this week to make sure she doesn’t change his mind.

From all reports both Alan Richardson and Perty had training shorts on at the meeting to sweeten the deal for Mrs Grundy. She’s on board. Perty has lovely pins.

A few seasons ago I thought Grundy was the best big man going around. Ruck work, marking, kicking and ground skills were exceptional. Given his injuries and time out of the game , I’m reticent about picking him up given doubts on his capacity to get back to playing regular footy.

I’m also reticent about picking him up from Collingwood, because they rarely let a talented player go unless they are convinced that the player’s fitness is permanently compromised. There are exceptions of course, Peter Moore, being a case in point, but generally they make few mistakes in regard to their medical assessments.

And I wouldn't trust 'em as far as I could kick 'em.

It'll be interesting if LJ stays. I wonder, could we play LJ, Max and Grundy? Play LJ as a midfielder..

If that was to occur, Grundy could play FFwd.

Has Grundy ever played consistent time in the forward line? From my memory he hasn’t (not including 5-10 minute rest periods from rucking duties)

So on Monday David King had is top 10 rated players in finals over the last 5 years....I don't really rate his (Champion Data) ratings but for what it's worth Trac was 4, Clarry 5 &  Grundy 6...

Seems that Grundy might just have something to offer.

edit: they had tp have played at least 5 finals. Of course Dusty was at 1.

Wonder Davey didn't  put himself in there.

Grundy to MFC just defies logic. We already have an established ruck. Best in the league. Gawn isn’t a good forward and neither is Grundy. Both are just sole rucks. Why we would pay top dollar for an excess big man that we don’t need, whilst desperately needing to recruit a key forward - it’s beyond me. It’s actually just stupid. Reminds me of the Lakers recruiting Westbrook. Just a bad fit that would never work, and now they are stuck with a fat contract they cannot move. If rumored numbers are correct we’ll be paying 700k for a second ruck. Just plain bad list management.

Bit harsh, KDA - can't see his (potential) signing extending Max's career?

Hope Richo and Perty were wearing their Reg Grundies under their training shorts. If not, the deal's off.

We are offering Jacko l suspect 700k also so why is it different? Next year we would have gawn/grundy, tmac, and bbb in our fwd line ... with JVR playing from time to time... l will take that as opposed to Weid coming in to be a part time ruck and having a massive hole in the ruck when gawn is injured ... we also get some great draft picks ... overall he makes us a better team

It's fair to say he doesn't spend as much time forward as Max does lately.

Westbrook was possibly the worst decision the Lakers ever made.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
