They will need two 2nd round picks, so maybe something like:

Grundy and pick 27 to swans for Roos future 2nd round + pick 46

I'd do that personally

I was hoping we can get a 2nd Rounder this year and package this to GC for Pick 10, otherwise I dont mind it.

No, that is overs by a long way.

Future picks don't need to come into this.

14 and Grundy for McLean is a very good deal and a win win for both teams  as they both get something they really need.

They treated him like [censored] why would he stay for  more of the same?

I am waiting to hear his story when  he wins a flag  with the Swans or maybe what May says about him next year

I am even more looking forward to what folks on here say about Tom Hawkins if he kicks 5 in the G/F to seal  the flag for the Dee's next season.

I season at $600 000.!

Can someone remind me of the usual number of players taken in a draft. IIRC it's between 50 and 60 but I could be wrong.

Pick 44 if so is at the wrong end of the barrel especially when it's around 49 allowing for concessions

actually 44 probably becomes <44 because of all the multi picks for f/s and academy players beforehand

Rubbish source I know but on SEN this morning there was talk of the AFL agenda items and that the 5 man interchange was in the mix again.

If this comes to pass, I'm keeping Grundy. That gives us the flexibility to effectively run with 2 first rucks.

Club needs to get a look at the AFL crystal ball before we shunt him off

MFCSS tells me that the AFL will wait to see what we do before announcing anything.   If we part ways they will extend the interchange: if he stays they will change the rule that no ruckman can ever be named on the interchange. 🙄😱MFCSS +

PS straight swap for Guerdion (?spelling) would be ok 🤗🤗

If you want someone that badly do you offer pick 46?

They know we want to offload

Could just be poor negotiating on their behalf. Softening us up in the hope we accept pick 33 later

So, thats 46 and probably a pick in the mid 30's if the swans finish somewhere between 4 -8

Haven’t done the maths but probably similar value to the pick 27 we paid for him?

Currently leaves us with 6, 11, 41 and 46 for this year, with our own future picks, Sydney’s future second and Dogs future third

A bit to play out yet…

A future 2nd is in the 20s, if Sydney struggle next year, or the 30s if they do well.

I’m comfortable with it given we clearly didn’t consider him part of our future.

And so ends one of the more interesting player trades we’ve engaged in. I reckon Grundy will do really well at Sydney, and I actually hope he does.

Haven't seen confirmation on it yet but based on this years ladder position it would have been 31 and 46.

Was 29 but pushed back 2 spots for north compo picks.

F2 Can fall anywhere between 21 and 39.

A very mild death ride next year.

Perhaps a slow decline ride?

based on points

21 & 46 = equivalent pick 14

39 & 46 = 25

He’ll do very well at Sydney, they again will be right up there in the mix to win a flag.

What debacle it has been since he arrived at the club, getting him was not the issue (replacement for Jackson) but what we did (and didn’t do more importantly) with him while the team yet again went out in straight sets was a disgrace.

We had Petracca in the ruck while Grundy sat in the stands.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
