what was the crowd

37,000  I believe

We are back baby.

Viney with a captains game.

Lever looking like he has two operational feet back.

Jackson is beyond words. Sensational performance against big big men.

Clarry is just Clarry. Trac back to his best. Love that for us.

Two great goals

Bedford side step

And Kozzies run around.

Actually there were quie a few other than that and in reality it could have been a 100 point win.

All with two big men in Tmac and Max.

What a statement that game was.

Just like last year we dropped off about the same rounds.

Back to back flags again.

Write us off at your peril.

I think the bye came at a good time.

I just can't express how proud of Jack I was tonight & his tackling, kicking & courage & leadership was just fantastic.

To load or not to load that is the question.

Where are the non believers all of a sudden?

The doom and gloomers?

Well be having an awesome weekend now, great job fellas

For Thursday night game against an interstate team, that crowd was a brilliant result. We pulled in more than Richmond vs Port on Thurs night, despite nearly 50,000 less members across teams playing.

Brilliant effort Dees fans. Ignore the noise about our crowds for dopey pelicans like Caro. We’re third highest average home attendance in the league. Were more loyal than anyone. Hats off!

That second quarter was as brutal as I've seen from any team in any era.

Totally agree. Brisbane were powerless to stop it, and they are supposedly next best. Good luck to the rest of the competition

Sparrow excellent first half

Bedford too much talent not to be playing seniors consistently

Ben Brown slowly getting back into his groove

Hibberd drinking from the fountain of youth

Lever & Viney beast mode

We looked knackered in the 1st quarter........

Bang,

Bang,

Bang!!

 Charlottes Web - some pig.

Jack Viney - some game.

Great win, good crowd, Viney huge, how good is it going to be just kicking back watching the other games this weekend.

If you said anything like “our season is over” in the last month, give yourself an immediate uppercut.

Many welcome returns to form, but none more pleasing for me than Jake Lever. Absolutely outstanding.

Uppercut delivered!

Gee that game from Viney was so bloody good almost made me cry

Contested possession

R8-14 +8.2 (#1) - tonight +38

Post clearance contested possession

R8-14 +6 (#1) - tonight +26

Forward half intercepts

R8-14 +26.3 - tonight +38

Points from forward half intercepts

R8-14 21.2pts tonight 61pts

This was a demolition make no mistake. Really should've been a 15 goal plus win but we let them off the hook with some pretty easy misses. Just ground it away and got our contest and pressure (especially forward half pressure) game back.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
