GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Featured Replies

I miss the 'we will smash Collingwood' thread.

We should have run. Collingwood have sustained a long tireless effort to get to the position they are in. It’s not usually sustainable. I think the last quarter will see us out hustle the Pies.

First goal kicker for filth was wearing CANARY YELLOW.

We are being out May and Levered. Don't know where the goals will come from. Can we pull something out of our uno what.

Same thing happens every week long bombs into our forward line straight to the spare in defense ffs!!!

For some reason we  insist on using the opposite wing 99% of the time.

Where has our energy gone? Last year we would run over teams and have some in store.

Every team hunts us around the packs and outnumber us in the contest, forward and backline and we look flat and uninterested. Maybe the belly is full?

We lose this and we fall back to the pack. Our game plan looks sketchy and our execution is slow and predictable.

Darren Cahill. Clearly the tickets on the Lions bloke are false

This games not over and we may win it but I can’t help but think injuries are going to take our shot at back to back. If we get a clear run at it at some point maybe not but we have had no luck. The football gods want it to go elsewhere perhaps this year. We will never look like the team we were last year without continuity. The great unspoken truth of the industry is fitness wins flags and we just can’t get it going. I’ve been team loading for the last two weeks but it becomes irrelevant if you can’t stay on the park.

Mitch to Mihoczeck

How is De Goey not pinged for holding the ball when he took the tackler on and got tackled, yet we're getting pinged for the exact same thing?

[censored] moronic.

Mitch Brown is a very average footballer

Who’s going to stand up??

Hey May are you watching this. You would want to come back and put on a good performance against Brisbane. You owe us.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
