Drawing a blank, being a Monday game do they announce the extended squads tonight or tomorrow?

They'll name extended squards tonight with full team to be announced Saturday afternoon

Thinking Turner will be named on the extended bench.

Any chance we can do a Geelong this week and beat a mid range team with multiple best 22 players out in addition to losing a gun defender mid game, without its defensive structure falling to pieces, and produce a character building win?

Yes they'll want to give Petty maximum time to recover

Bloody oath.

We should be winning this game based on desire, talent, system and purely that we are further advanced than them

Great sides who have won premierships over the years have always been able to win games with key players out. The last two weeks have been understandable because of who we've played.

But seriously, if we don't win on Monday I will be genuinely disappointed and slightly concerned about our second half to the year.

We also owe these flogs who caused a huge upset against us last year. And they were missing a handful of their top 10 players and still beat us.

It sometimes comes down to big club vs small club mentality.

We better respond. Especially after the week in the media we've had. I expect a galvanised group who are committed to the cause for four quarters. And I expect to win.

I think he has a future but no way he is ready for QB

From my observation he has been useful in 3-4 games and good in one but that was North who are very poor. I seriously doubt he will be promoted any time soon.

Its mind games. he will play.

Not really any point, they will name him anyway and if he plays we'll have prepared for him.

I'm picturing Viney sitting in a cage, gnawing his teeth right now

I pity the Collingwood players that come anywhere near him on QB

UNLEASH JACK!

Jack's impact has improved, too. If ever there was a Demon capable and willing to create havoc with the Filth, it would be Jack. I wonder who his key targets will be?

with a 8 day break I think Petty will play but definately need Hibberd as Petty is liable to go off for long periods.  That's what happened in the 2nd quarter when we were a tall/bulky player short.

now that it looks like Miocheck is out and Elliott is in.  Hibbo is a must.

Elliot is too strong and too good one on one for hunt i reckon.

Hibbo would be the match up for Elliot - can match him for strength and is excellent one on one.

I'd go Hiiberd in, and plays on Elliot. And Hunt goes to Ginnivan.

Mihocek = Kent Kingsley

Mihocek is a very good player and underestimated by many.  He's no Kingsley.

Mihocek = McDonald

Vastly underrated player

Those who rate Mihocek and those who don't can all agree with this comparison. Those who rate him can assume he's like Tom and those that don't can think he's like Oscar.

Personally, I think he's a very good player and would be even better if he had some good tall forwards around him.

Hunt shouldn't play give the job to Rivers or Salem.

What I wouldn't  give for a full Trac Train Game

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

    Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
