It’ll be a banner day for you alright!

good luck!

what’s the message on it??

‘Gawn in 60 seconds’ is the best I can think up

I’ve got the bananarama song “nah nah nah nah hey hey goodbye” song in my head, but replace the “nah’s” with “Narrms”. Maybe a bit long, and far too obscure though.

Yes really. I'm interested in why you think a footy team should look for 'payback' in the context of them learning that from Indigenous culture.

That song was originally done by Steam. Don’t know if Bananarama covered it later.

Anyone in the cheer squad will you be embracing the Narrm name? Will the chants be for Melbourne or Narrm?

Also interested to know what the Dees fans turnout will be today, I’ve sadly had to work but would’ve gladly gone if I could.

As North are about to go seriously 😳  South. Name change may be appropriate too.

Seemingly strange question. Can someone please let me know how long there is to go until kick-off?

The Tasmanian Wallabies?

How good does the Indigenous kit look? definitely my favourite one so far!

At the train station. Plenty of people heading in early to Dreamtime at the G. I just said to an Essendon supporter I thought they’d renamed it ‘Screentime at the G’ - because Essendon are so rubbish most supporters should just watch on their phones. He didn’t laugh.

I make friends everywhere I go.

dees supporters outnumbering Norf 10:1 so far.

Essendon supporters aren't smart people in my experience, they'll have centrelink payments to blow on the pokies well before the game starts.

I'm sorry but I hate this darn ground, just bought myself a gen admin ticket and get inside ready to bolt up to level 3 and I get pulled up and told I need to go to Aisle 19 or some crap. You stink Marvel. If anyone can tell me what area on Level 1 isn't some pooncey reserved thing let us know!

Can you buy tickets at the ground? Yeah previous games there they offer level 1 seats usually in some dodgy pocket. Give me level 3 anytime, at least you can pick where you want to sit

Melbourne supporters will be blamed for not coming. I unfortunately cannot go because of the stupid timeslot.

Yep looks like about 7000 and mainly Melbourne supporters

Why is it so bright in here? Can they calm down with the lights?

Level 1 aisles 1-7 are general admission. Still some empty seats left here.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
