BDA 23,048 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Big test. We didn’t turn up last year in the prelim. Very disappointing. We have to put in a performance and make the Crows earn it today. It’ll be tough, they have a strong home record, but if we can match them physically and kick straight we’re a good chance The heart says Dees by 5 points, the head says Crows 2 Quote
Cards13 9,117 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Crows with a few out, could be our chance. Quote
Deeoldfart 8,205 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 I think we match up quite well against their strengths and we have plenty of girls in form ……… BUT we will have to adapt to the crazy skinny dimensions of the ground and kick straight, which is a regular bugbear. Fingers crossed we can do it. Quote
dl4e 5,851 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 This should be a good game. I am looking forward to the battle of the midfield as both are strong here. Pearce in the ruck could be the difference. 1 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,474 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Norwood Oval This is a home game Red and the Blue…. Quote
darkhorse72 1,943 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 chance to put a gap between us and the behind. Crows kill dus with pressure last year, saints did the same last week till we broke out. Been a trend this year with the top sides, suddenly breaking out in the last qtr to run away with it. The other teams can't seem to sustain he pressure for 4 qtrs. Quote
Whispering_Jack 31,368 Posted January 29, 2022 Author Posted January 29, 2022 Last night GWS 7.1.43 defeated Western Bulldogs 2.10.22. That’s what I fear the most about today’s game - the Doggies score line reads so much like the Melbourne of the past. Quote

BDA 23,048 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 birch should have knocked that away for a rushed behind, not smart adelaide red hot. we need to settle Quote
Nicko 1,390 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 We gotta get our tackling game going…. Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Crows bringing the heat and out-muscling us. They appear physically bigger and stronger. Lucky we're not further behind. Badly need to wrest momentum back here somehow, stick some tackles, or it will be a long day Quote
Clintosaurus 7,953 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Playing too loose and Crows don't fumble. Quote

mo64 5,911 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Getting smashed in contested ball. We're miles behind the Crows, and we're almost at full strength. Quote
DeeSpencer 26,692 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Looks like we spent all summer practicing nice uncontested footy and forgot how to win and use the ball under pressure. We haven’t been able to string together anything remotely decent. The lack of coordination between the player giving and receiving a handball is particularly poor. There’s no point being a hard running fit side if you can’t give a handball to a runner who then gets in to space. 2 Quote
dl4e 5,851 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 We started to make some terrible decision making skills along with poor use of the footy from about 1/2 way through the second quarter. Adelaide have been on to us from the start and with a home ground advantage that will be enough. Too many of our good players are playing pooorly so lets hope they can lift in the second half. Paxman, Gay and Zanker for a start. 1 Quote
